Default DRS designs and IO

DRS designs has announced they are closing after 75 years both the store and online. Things are at 20% and I dont see a deadline yet. I think they started as custom stamps before going into what they call the art stamps.

IO (Impression Obsession) is ending their production of red rubber (not the company) so have said if you want the 6 x 6 backgrounds or slimlines in red rubber buy before May 15th. I dont see any discount.

I checked-I don't see it on IO's website but their DTs got told and posted it and today I found in IO's blog...as a sort of small sized note which is odd to me but there you are. I guess they are not going to do a discounting. It just says they will pull it from the website-but would it go into clearance then? No idea. I will try emailing them.

They are made to order and the supplies are limited and expensive, so I would assume 1) there is not a stockpile they are trying to get rid of and 2) they will not be discounted unless they are 'slightly irregular'.

This was in IO's newsletter on May 1st:

There are some gorgeous large-format florals in the slimline collection.

IO answered me...Dina of course is right.
Because they make red rubber to order there is not a standing inventory to get rid of (and discount)
There are only 3 of them and they did not want a deluge of orders. (I would expect this to mean orders might take awhile so be patient)
No, they will not transfer the designs to poly stamps in the future so this is the last chance to get those designs.

I did place a big order because although I have ordered all along...there were still a lot of them I like for basic patterns...and I really like the 6 x 6 ones for BGs. I still did not get all I would have liked, but it just got too expensive.

I checked out DRS Designs tonight. Some of the stamps were discounted a bit more than 20 percent when they landed in my cart, others weren't discounted at all, You just find out what the discount is when they land in your cart.

It's sad to see these go. I lost all of my wood mounted rubber stamps in a recent move. I've been checking everywhere to see if I can find some replacements. Thankfully, I still have my clear stamps but some of my rubber stamps were more than 30 years old.

Oh well.

Hi Tracy
I responded to you on another thread. Are you able to claim through packing company?
Where they military movers? If so look at all packing lists to find missing items and claim that way.

Ok it's really weird. My kids moved us. My youngest son, whose house we moved to, swears he saw a box marked rubber stamps in his basement, which is where all our stuff was stored. But he's searched his house and I've searched our apartment and they're no where to be found. A box of bathroom stuff is also missing, Who knows. Alex, my son, found bits and pieces of the bathroom box recently, but the stamps are not there. I'm totally confused and still hold out hope that some day they'll show up, but I won't hold my breath.

So no, I can't make a claim to the moving company. And we did a clean sweep of our apartment in PA before we left and there was nothing there.
