HelloColorChallengeFans! Welcome to this week's challenge. It's #800 for us and we have some fun planned for all of you.
Before I introduce the colors for this week, let's congratulate Sallie aka hobbydujour as the fave from last week. Jeanne was the hostess and she chose Sallie's thinking of you card.
Jeanne said: "Sallie's watercoloring is gorgeous and the gold embossing sets it off beautifully. Her card is stunning!"
Congrats Sallie! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below. Your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Color Challenge board. See that here.
Now onto this week's challenge. I asked the team to pick a favorite challenge that they hosted between #701-#799. So we are giving you 6 different color combinations this week. Pick your favorite from the chart below and create a new card.
We are also offering some prizes this week to celebrate #800. Each hostess has come up with a little prize package that will be awarded to her favorite card.
We are offering a Stampin'-Up Paper Pumpkin Kit, Stampin-Up 2020-2022 In-color Markers & Enamel Dots, Stampin'-Up stamp & die combo, Honey Bee Stamp & Die combo, Package of 2 new stamp sets + distress ink pads, $25 gift certificate to your favorite online retailer.
And, we also have a grand prize to offer: a selection of CottageCutz dies worth $88. To be eligible for a prize, we do have some rules for this challenge:
1. Your card has to be a new one. 2. You can use your neutrals of choice but you can't add other colors to the combos listed below. 3. On your keywords use CC800 + the other challenge # of the combo you choose. That way the hostess will know you played in her challenge. 4.To be eligible for the grand prize, you will have to create a card for each of the color combos and include the dessert option. So that will be 6 cards in total.
This Week's Color Chart
Here are the links to the original challenges: These are the ones we are using this week. Dessert Option is the same as the original challenge.
Please keep in mind that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC800 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card!
I chose Stef's colors, from CC784. They are so soft and pretty!!

This is going to be such fun! I started with a card with a nod to Bozeman, MT - For this week's CC800 and CC779 challenges- I took this shadow stamped image of horses, fussy cut and colored with light brown for the lead horse. Used a piece of corrugated cardstock for my background. I wanted to add some texture with my die cut grasses, so I ran them through a basket weave style embossing folder. Here's Open Gate

For CC800 and CC775- which is the winter challenge- I used a snowman image from my stash, fussy cutting, and propping it up. Added a swirly embossed background to mimic the snowman's snowflakes- brushing white ink on top . Added some die cut trees, and a birthday balloon- December is my DD's birthday - right before Christmas. Finished with a lilac bow and a deeper purple ribbon border. Here's Snowman's Happy Birthday

For the CC800 challenge and the CC764 color challenge I finally got to use my ladybug stamps and matching dies- and I practiced using my new embossing powder pad at the same time when I heat embossed my image. I kept it simple with an oval panel for my frame, a silver cord border for dessert and a tag style sentiment panel with a twine bow. Here's Ladybug's flight

For the CC800 and CC784 color challenges- I went with punched flower shapes and fussy cut stamped layered flowers, with a diagonal layout for my background and rounded corners for my large sentiment panel. Here's flowers galore

For CC800 and the CC752 challenges I went with lots of texture for my woodsy shape for my sparrow image. Did a textured sky my background, and added a sun image. Punched out a decorative label panel for my hand lettered sentiment. Here's thoughtful sparrow

I used a woodgrain embossing folder for my tree stump base, and added a stamped oval greeting. Did some distressing to mimic the goat's tendency to chew on everything Here's Way To Goat

For color challenge #800 and #752.- I've always liked hydrangeas, and finally figured out heat embossing was the best way to use this stamp. I used pencils to color the flower and an oval die to cut the cardstock. Added a dry embossed leaves and vines style scalloped rectangular frame behind it. Finished with a hand lettered sentiment. Here's sending my love

For color challenge 764 and 800- I love this bird image but it gets neglected. Popped it out of the drawer and heat embossed it. Used my blender pen to bleed the marker color from the edges to the center. Colored the berries with a pencil. Added some texture with a vines style embossed panel and a red herringbone mini border. Thought this diagonal piece of patterned paper fit the bill. Finished with silver trim. Here's snowbird
