Welcome to my FAVORITE thread of the year! (Yes, the pun is intended! Ha!)
The Best of 2018...Clean and Simple style!
Everyone is invited to participate...and share what you found to be your Clean and Simple "favorite of favorites". You can share anytime in the next couple of weeks or so. The thread stays "stickied" in the Favorites sub-forum all year AND we post those favorites on a Pinterest board. I'll add the link when I have it.
I hope you enjoy my collection of favorites for 2018. I always have a really hard time selecting what to share, and I want to include as many of you as I can. So I hope you love this list! It sure has some absolutely stunning cards in it.
This Annual thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize what you consider the "best of the best" from SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
-------------------------------- And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past YEAR.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this YEAR.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
I don't save a lot of CAS cards, since it's not a style I tend to make and I save cards to inspire me...BUT, when I was sick in October I did start compiling a list.
I didn't get very far with it, but such as it is, here you are:
Were it not for the linking issues I'd try to make time to look through my Favourites for more - having these ready to copy and paste makes it relatively straightforward under current circumstances ;-).
wow - what an honor to have two of my cards chosen fav's of the year - thank you to Diane for liking my Basket of Well wishes card and to Stacy for liking my Rustic Nativity! Happy New Year!

Diane, thank you so much for selecting my Birthday Blossoms in Blue card as CAS favorite of 2018. What an honor!! And thank you so much, Susan, for letting me know!
Happy New Year everyone!
Stacy, I am still pinching myself in disbelief at my name alongside so many incredible cardmakers. Thank you so much for including my card Deep Waters on your CAS List of Favorites for 2018!
Susan, I appreciate sending me the notice! Happy New Year to all!
Me too, Stacy (pinching myself) as it's just a lucky accident when CAS happens for me. I tucked that one into DH's luggage when he went on his trip to Maine in the fall .
And me too, thanks for the notification, Susan, your time is much appreciated.
Lately I haven't had much time to spend in my favorite pastime of drinking in all the gorgeous cards here but I have a few favorites I'd like to list here for CAS FAvorites of 2018.
There are so many--too many to post them all--I have loved this year. Thank you to all of you who continue to come up with original, creative methods and ideas for amazing cards. I am looking forward to seeing all the cards to come in 2019. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!
Wow! Great news, Stacy (JBgreendawn), that you chose my card, IC632, Waiting for Spring, as a 2018 CAS favorite of yours. I am thrilled!
And, just as thrilled that Debbie (swldebbie) chose my card CAS496, Nightfall at the Cabin, as one of your 2018 favorites.
Thank you to Susan (susanbri) and Debbie (swldebbie) for the fabulous news.

Wow, I was so surprised to be chosen CAS favorite of the year. What an incredible honor. Thank you so much Susan (bri) and Debbie! I'm thrilled to be included!
Stacy and Kathlene, you sure have made my first day of 2019 a super exciting one despite feeling ill. Thank you both so much for casting my By the Tide card set as a CAS favorite of the year. Thank you to Susan and Debbie for sending me the very exciting news. Happy New Year Splitcoaststampers!
Ok, so my daughter is asking for me so I am going to post this with the right to come back and add a few more later! For some reason, a few are missing from my list!
Several of these cards were given to me after my car accident and they are still on my shelf in my living room!
Thank you so much, Diane, Julie, and Stacy, for including my cards on your lists for this annual honor. I TRULY appreciate it. Thank you, Diane, for letting me know. Hugs, Sallie
Took a while to go through my favorites and pick the CAS card favorites. There were so many to look at and be inspired by all over again. I decided to not put anybody multiple times so that cut out a lot of cards.
Thank you Diane for faving my Dream of Spring card and Debbie for mentioning my Christmas poinsettia tag. It really is such an honor to be on the Best of 2018 favorites list:-) Thank you Debbie and Susan for the happy news. You girls made my day and a wonderful way to start the New Year. Happy Creative New Year to you all. Hugs...
Wow what a thrill and totally unexpected. Thank you Angie for including my mermaid card, I loved making that for you. And Amy thank you so much for choosing the girls best friend card. It was one of my favourite cards all year. To be chosen by you is such an honour.
Diane thank you for the happy mail and for all you do at SCS.

Thanks so much Amy, Angie, and Julie, for including cards I made - I’m honoured as it’s always such a thrill to be on the annual favourites list. And thanks, Diane, for the notifications.
I’ve been trying to get my favourites down to a reasonable amount but still have a lot so I think I’ll list those from January to June before I go to bed and get the rest done in the morning.
