Hi there, it's Susie (susie australia) here on behalf of Robin, with this weeks Free for All challenge. Carolyn aka snowmanqueen has a fun idea for our Free for All challenge. It's Carolyn's birthday this month, making her birthstone, Sapphire.
Our challenge to you is to make a card/project where the main color is blue OR make a card with your own birthstone color and tell which month.
Bonus add bling.
Happy birthday to all the September Splitcoasties.
Thank you Carolyn (snowmanqueen) and Francie (f.schles) for your fabulous samples.

Suzie this is a great challenge! My cousin's birthday and her favorite color is blue.

Went icy instead of blingy with my card Snow friends.I used a "lost but found" stamp- with these two cheery snowmen- adding texture with a background of embossed and sponged snowflakes. Added a smaller circle brushed with white ink for my sentiment panel.

I'll have to come back with a garnet inspired color for my January birthstone, but for now, here's a sapphire inspired one. (I love all of the stones!)
Blue is one of my favorite colors (I think, judging by my closet and choice of apparel at horse shows over the years!)! Thanks for the great challenge!
