I am going to try to get this challenge done today! Starting with the ribbon and building the card around it reminds me of advice my mother-in-law gave me - start with the artwork and build/design the room around it. I took my kids to see the new Pirates of the Carribean at 12:01 am! Yaaaawwwwnnnnn!

This is my very first challenge. I love ribbon and have to admit I am a ribbon hoarder. I bought this ribbon at a stamping store in Peoria, IL. I love the colors. It matches Pumpkin Spice, Certain Celery and Chocolate Chip perfectly.

Ribbon?????? Who has ribbon??????? Okay, I'm with you, I have drawers full of ribbon! Time to pull something out other than black gingham ribbon and put it to use. Great challenge Jen!
here's a more subdued one than my first....it is simple, but I know just who it is going to and she is a pink and black fashion plate.....thanks for viewing
I am sooo ribbon challenged (both in capability of using it and in supply of it!!)
I have to work today, but maybe this evening I'll be able to play! Thanks Jen for giving me something to think about!!!

Did you upload it to the gallery? I'm having trouble viewing it this way. :( But I would love to see it! :-D
Not hard to use, nor patterned, but special because my daughter tied it around the new SU catty she sent to me! I'm down to scraps of Pretty in Pink which is why I used so little of it.
I'm cheating since I already did a card like this (and I never get to do these challenges since I'm stuck at work all day). This will be my first challenge upload, so don't beat me up for cheating, please...
Got some rainbow rickrack several months ago and never could figure how to fit them into cards, they are so color specific. So I used the rickrack to start today's challenge and used matching inks before hunting up a stamp set. This also fit this week's sketch by the time I was done. Rainbow RickRack
I did a super quick card with animal print ribbon from Wal-Mart, and I only used 1 color ink -- black. Has there ever been a challenge only using 1 color ink -- that might be fun -- I'm still kind of new here so I have missed tons of challenges -- maybe that's been done already. Anyway, here's my card:
Wow..this challenge is so me. I'm forever picking up ribbon and then starting projects and never seem to have the right ribbon...I've always thought I should start with the ribbon first...so I can't wait to get started. Thanks Jen for suggesting it.
This was harder than I thought. I have an argyle ribbon that I figured was perfect for this challenge. It took several tries, but I finally got a card I like. Here it is (pending as of 12:30 CT):
So here's my attempt at today's challenge...awesome! (the challenge, not so much the card!) Anyway, FINALLY an excuse to use this ribbon I keep staring at in my ribbon drawer!
Elizabeth
P.S. Eerily similar to what I made for yesterday's challenge, but the set I didn't think I'd ever use is turning in to one of my favorites!
