What adhesives do you use on your cards? I have tried many and prefer the Kokuyo brand. However, I just found out that the one I like is no longer being made. THey have a bigger one, and of course more expensive and less tape for the money. I liked it because the dots made it so easy to do curves and control the amount of tape used.
So, since I have no choice but to try and find a new adhesive I like, I am hoping I might hear from some of you experts out there... what is your favorite roller type adhesive and why?
My old stand-by is double sided scotch tape. I recently purchases a Glue Glider Pro and I love it! It's a smaller version of the ATG gun I believe (made by different companies).

I just use a snail I get from Wal-Mart. IT's by Ad-tech. It permanent and a good price and always available. I live in rural area, so I can't run to Hobby Lobby if I need adhesive. It's only about $3.00 and two refills for $2.25. I have used two-sided scotch tape at workshops.

I use the double sided scotch tape often but my favorite standby is a glue stick. It's a great time to stock up with all of the back to school sales. I have a tape runner from AC Moore but it does get expensive to use it.
My favorite is the 3L scrapbooking adhesive tape runner. It holds well and is easy to run around curves, etc. The therm-o-web tape runner also sticks well on cards. I still use double-sided tape when adherring textured layers though.
I used to use double-sided scotch tape until Walmart discontinued its 1000 inches for $3.88 package. Then I bought a 714 ATG gun and now I use the 924 tape. It is super strong (stronger than the double-sided scotch tape I used to use).
I get them at http://framingsupplies.com/3M/3MATGTape.htm, 12 rolls at a time so it is $2.40 a roll, but shipping is $9.70, so it is more like $3.40 a roll. But each roll is 36 yards, or 1296 inches, making it a little cheaper than what I used before.
I haven't found a roller type I like, I use Mono Multi (green and white bottle), a little goes a long way, it's the best!!! Good luck!!
AMEN! Mono-Multi! It is very affordable and sticks nearly instantly and very permanently. I use it almost exclusively for cards and scrapbooking now! The key is to just use a TINY bit so it doesn't squirt out all over. HTH!
I use the atg gun...it takes a little bit to get used to but soooo worth the money. I get my stuff at thetapedepot. the gun is 25 and the tape is about $2.00 per roll...free shipping over $50, so I tell my girls to get 2 sets of tape and the gun, or share some tape with friends..once they saw mine and how much less I spent on adhesive they all had to get one.
I use the ATG I love it and I can make alot of cards before I have to change the tape roll. I do use the SU snail tape for small areas and quick jobs, but I prefer the ATG.
WOW thank you for all the informative responses! Your comments are helpful and it looks like I will have to try out a few of the above recommendations. I appreciate your sharing your information with me. Blessings
I've still been trying different things. I find it difficult to get things to stick permanently in the Indiana humidity. I bought some glue at the Dollar Tree similar to the Mono multi which sticks really well, but warps slightly if you use too much. I also use double stick tape which seems to work well unless it's a small space.

I use a variety of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, too. Alot of times (especially when scrapbooking) I will use their EZ Dots repositionable runner and then later when I have decided on how I want things to look will use the Permanent Tape runner.
I have an ATG gun but just haven't gotten used to the size.
I use Mono Multi most of the time. But I also use adhesive squares and double sided tape on occasion - usually when I am making something at the last minute and can't wait for glue to dry.

ATG all the way, tape for it from The Tape Depot. I resisted for al long time (the thing looked soooooo HUGE!) but it is one of the best craft purchases I have ever made.

I have mono multi and like the way it dries and sticks. I use my fingers a lot though and I always get this stuff all over my fingers. If there was a better way to avoid it getting on my fingers, I would really call it my favorite, but I can't due to the stuff getting all over in places I don't want it to go.

Another vote for the AdTech!! I dont recommend the dotted one, just the solid tape one though. I found that the dotted one wasnt as strong. The price is awesome, I usually buy a pack of refills everytime I am at walmart. They also sell them at Michaels if you are willing to pay over a dollar more for the same product.
