It all depends on the couple. Sometimes I use hearts or Valentine-type images. Other times I use traditional wedding icons, such as bells, cake, champagne glasses, etc. For my MIL & FIL's card this year, I did something different. My MIL loves Cinderella; so this year, I used my Cricut and made them a Cinderella card. It had the Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the glass slipper (which I covered in vintage glass glitter). The saying was, "And they lived Happily Ever After."
Since swans mate for life, a pair of swans swimming in a pond would send the right message...and they're easy to color - mainly shadows and highlights HTH
I like to use damask type stamps for anniversary cards because they are kind of classy. I can stamp a quick background, add "happy anniversary" and call the card good.
Technique Tuesday makes a damask one I really like just because of that. They also have one called Rococo.
Here's the Damask one. Technique Tuesday: Damask
And here's the Rococo one. Technique Tuesday: Rococo
Good luck in your search!

I am doing 30 anniversary cards a month for my hubbys employer. They give out cards for the employee anniversary with the company. It is interesting but lucrative. This keeps on my toes for new anniversary ideas I can use in this way.
blessings.
The few anniversary cards I make I do for close people. I usually use their flowers from their wedding (ie roses or carns) and or their wedding colors in the card. Then I go from there.
