"A Stamp" - snicker, I have about 35 back of the card stamps, yes, way to many but I love them. Some are funny, some plain, some formal, it just depends on my mood. I also have back of the stamps according to holidays/seasons.
I always stamp something and put my initials and date when giving it someone specific. If I'm making cards for my stash or to sell, I don't date them.
Most stamp companies have back of the card stamps so you have lots of options. You can also have them custom made with your name. Several companies offer them (Stampin Up, Vippies, etc.).
Hi Ginger. I am a blogger and put any card I see or make on my blog. I had a stamp made with my name, email address and blog site, and it has a clam on it, because I'm as happy as a clam! HAHAH. I know it's corny... But I love it.
It says;
Handmade Especially for you by;

I have a LOT of stamps for the back of the card...several that are my name in different scripts and then a whole bunch of ones that say different things. My newest one given to me by a fiend is: an owl that says stamped with a hoot. It makes me smile.
blessings.
I, too, have several to select from. I always seem to grab the same one. It is from Hero Arts and it says "Handmade with love". It is written next to a little daisy type flower from the top of the flower to the bottom. It is a small stamp and I love it.
I try and use a stamp that matches my mood, the card, and maybe the receiver. Just depends on what is at hand when I make the card. But there is always something!!
My signature on the lower back of my cards is a paw print. i usually will stamp an image (or part of one) from the front of the card on the center back also.
AlthoughI have several "back of the card" stamps (mostly from Stampin Up), I prefer usually to just sign my first name in cursive. As long as I am not selling the card, it doesn't matter. I use a marker that is the same color as the card base, so it is subtle, which is what I am going for.
Several of Papertrey Ink's sets have a "Handstamped by" stamp with their sets so I use those and sign my first name and the year. I don't sell mine so everyone knows who it is. If you do sell them I'd get a custom one made.
I got a personalized one from Paper Angel as well...my name and email address. That's the one I use. I do have a couple "generic" ones but I go with the preprinted one. It really wasn't very expensive. I had one made with my name and address on it...great for stamping return address on envies.
Beacause I do occasionally sell cards, I have a SU one that says Handstamped by Black Horse Arts. Yes, my horse at the time was black, and most of the folks who bought my cards knew her as well.

I have several or sometimes just use a small one that fits in with the theme of the card..then I hand write "Made by Polly" . One of the funny ones I have says "When you care enough to make it yourself" with a crown in the middle..a take off on the Hallmark phrase and logo.
I have several...but my fav is THIS BETTER NOT GO IN THE TRASH!!
I absolutley love this! Where could I find one like that? heehee Can't you just imagine the look on the recipients face when they turn it over??!! I sure can!!! lol

I love that.. Who makes that stamp- it is a gotta have it, if it still available somewhere to buy?
I have a couple Made by Stamps that I always stamp in black then write in my first name and the year. Out of the 4 or 5 I own my favorite is :
Hand Stamped Art
Limited Edition
1/1
"made by Hero Arts"
I actually wasn't into Stamping too much when I purchased this stamp- I was just making basic cards for Friends and family at Birthdays and X-Mas but my Mother was really into Stamping so this stamp was supppse to be for her- but DH recommended I keep ahold of it for a year before giving it away since he figured that Stamping my images was the next obvious step in my card-making hobby (that was his opinion) I probably only owned 50 stamps when this one was purchased but I am sooo glad I never gave it to my Mom. I did tell her about it (well not the part about it was suppose to be a gift to her) and she must have told me 20l times how much she would love to own a stamp like that but I went back to the store and there was none left and I wasnt giving up the one I had, and now I am so glad to have followed DH recommendation!
I have 1 more about Hand stamped for you stamp
and a few that says handmade for you -
this is because in the beginning I only made Cards - no stamping involved- just paper, rub-ons, stickers and alot of stencils, ribbons, 3-D art, ect then only stamping the "handmade by" on the very back.
Depending on who the card is for, I have a stamp that I found at AC Moore
"This card was made by hand if you throw it away those same hands will make a doll in your image and stick pins in its butt."
My FIL LOVES this on the back of his cards.
I also have two stamps that say Hand Stamp by Fran
I wish we had an A C Moore near me- I love that one too...That definitely matches my sense of humor and I would stamp that on prudish/lack of a sense of humor family and love to see the look on their face when they saw that stamped with my name written next to it. Too Funny!! I think I would enjoy that stamp way too much!!
I have a stamp that I got when I first started making cards. I found it at Walmart, of all places. It came in a pack with another stamp that says Thank You, and only cost $5 for the two of them.
It says "Handmade By" in pretty script, with a tiny flower above the "Handmade." I usually color in the flower to match my card and then sign my first name.
I especially like that it says "handmade" rather than "hand stamped" because I make lots of things, sewing, crocheting, etc. I use the stamp and the small oval Nestie to make little hang tags to attach to other handmade items.

I don't know if this is "cheating" at stamping, but I use my computer.
I design a digital text stamp in Photoshop then just print it on the back of my card, or inside for a sentiment. Then I just go about stamping and creating the rest of the card. That way I can always change the font , colors, or wording whenever I want and it doesn't cost anything!

I used to have a teeny tiny snail stamp and I would stamp him then write snail mail under him. How cute was that?:-) I have since lost Stamper Snail, sadly:-( Now I have a stamp out of an old SU set that says handstamped and it's what I use just because it's there. I need to get a personalized one!
I had a stamp made by an office supply company that just says "lovingly made by Paula" in my handwriting. It's one of those self-inking stamps & I use it on all my cards. I write the year under it in black ink & always put a sticker above the stamps. I use one of my tons of stickers that fits the occasion. Good way to get rid of stickers & they make the back look somewhat professional.

I have several...but my fav is THIS BETTER NOT GO IN THE TRASH!!
This is funny and reminds me of an incident at the office. One of my co-worker attended a Stampin Up party I had. We used one of the cards "we"/she made for one of the fellows "cake" day (birthday). A few days later she see it in the recycle bin, she just about blew a gasket She gave the fellow a what for
I have a Stampin' UP personalized stamp. It is really cute!! It says TheScrapmaster
I just received this stamp and I love it. I never used to put my name on any of my cards, but I got to thinking that I should, you know?
I have a question for you about this stamp....when I received mine it smelled pretty bad. I left it out of the case in hopes that it would air out. The smell has gotten better, but I was wondering if yours smelled too. I'm thinking that the smell is from it just being made, you know?
I used to just stamped the back with a generic 'handmade' stamp. And I have family and friends that I give my cards to so that they can use them and after learning that some of them are passing my cards of as their own creations; I decided that I'm going to stamp my name on them from now on.
I have a stamp that says "A NikkiCard Creation" and then under it I use my tiny little stamps with the year on it. So right now it just says 2010 underneath it. I've been using "NikkiCard" for 10 years though and I'm getting tired of it, I want something new, different, a little more grown-up. But it seems like every witty name I come up with, someone has already thought of it! LOL!
I also have one that says "I like sending Birthday cards late, thus retaining the element of surprise". I'm often late with getting birthday cards in the mail (they are always made on time, its just getting them mailed that trips me up...) so I stamp that on the back of those. Then another that says "This is no ordinary greeting cards, it's a hug with a fold in the middle".
