You can also send her your artwork and have a custom stamp made - mounted, unmounted or self-inking. I have a polymer mounted stamp with the logo from my watermark and my blog address on it. They are very high quality stamps and I've been really happy with mine.
I also have the 'This better not go in the trash' stamp and got mine from Alpha Stamps. I got it because my brother once said, when I gave him a hand made card, "What? You couldn't afford Hallmark?". For a long time he was the ONLY person I continued to buy cards for, but now I make him cards again and stamp this on the back :-)
I found a stamp at JoAnn's that has four sides: Created for you,
Just for you, Made with Love, Stamped Just for you.
Well, something along these lines. I like this because I don't always stamp things - just cut and paste papers! My daughter says I HAVE to sign all my cards!
Good luck.
I have quite a few too...most bought at LSS or Mikes or Hobby Lobby, but my fave is one I bought at Addicted..it makes me giggle...."This card was made by hand. If you throw it away, those same hands will make a doll in your image and stick pins it it's butt!"
I have a couple bookmarked that I'd like to get. Here is one from Ibrakeforstamps.com It has the UPC stripes but says priceless instead of numbers underneath and says "If you're looking for a price on this card you won't find it here. But you will find the blood sweat and tears that went into making this card." There are a few others there as well.
Those two stamps are so cute. Like everyone else I have all sorts of 'handmade by','stamped by' etc. I feel the back should be as fancy as the front! LOL My current favourite right now is 'It took hours to make this card...act impressed!' from Class Act.
I absolutley love this! Where could I find one like that? heehee Can't you just imagine the look on the recipients face when they turn it over??!! I sure can!!! lol
I love this....reminds me of one that I have that says:
"Enclosed is a
HANDMADE CARD
as such it deserves a place of honor and respect in your home and should not be casually discarded like an ordinary store-bought card.

My son Patrick (a future SCAD fashion photography and graphic design major)
designed my signature stamp for me which I uploaded to Staples.com and had a stamp made.
What is the process in having a stamp made at Staples? Do you remember how much it cost? Your stamp looks great! Lucky you to have such a talented son.
If you are just giving your cards as a gift, you can get a satmp with just your name on it. If you are selling your cards, you will have to check the companies Angel policy that you are using. stampin Up requires that if you are selling anything made with their stamps that you have a stamp that says stampin u somewhere on it. They have a few in their catalog
Go to Staples.com go to Office supplies, then stamps, then custom stamps, then traditional rubber stamps, then create online. The stamp I ordered was 1/2"x2" and cost about $12.00.
I know a lady that always uses the same flower stamp on each and every card. It is her symbol. I kinda liked this subtle way of saying she made the card. So when I found a fancy script "k", i bought it and now use that on the the bottom right corner of every card I make. The exception to this is if I make the card at a class so it has required none of my own brain power to pull it off. Otherwise my friends and family have learned to check for that "k" and I like the subtleness of it. These are not being sold of course. Then I have to borrow a proper SU stamp from my friend. I've only sold a few cards.
WOW! Ginger, you brought out some diversified input regarding the back of card stamps!
Rabbits are my "signature". So the back of my cards are USUALLY stamped an ALL NIGHT MEDIA stamp with a cute/silly bunny holding a rubber stamp, ink pad near his feet that reads " HAND STAMPED by" the name of it is HAND STAMPED BUNNY (number 250 D) I can't find this one any more, so I take special care of it. The other stamp I have by ALL NIGHT MEDIA is the same bunny but "he" is sitting in front of a computer named BYTE-SIZE BUNNY (number 356 D) SOMETIMES I will make a card on the computer if I'm in a hurry, then just add this stamp on the back.I add my name and year.
My 7 yr old Grandson reminds me to "add the bar code on the back so it looks like it came from the store". I have a stamp that looks like the bar code you find on packaging
that reads "handstamped" and had tiny hearts on either side of the word. Just thought I would add my "input" as well. HAPPY STAMPING! Stampin Busia
I usually sign mine with one of the stamps I've used on the front. But if I don't use a stamp, I have a few stamps that I use. When I do put a signature on the back I stamp off the paper first so the image isn't so dark it shows through light-colored paper.

I don't know if this is "cheating" at stamping, but I use my computer.
I design a digital text stamp in Photoshop then just print it on the back of my card, or inside for a sentiment. Then I just go about stamping and creating the rest of the card. That way I can always change the font , colors, or wording whenever I want and it doesn't cost anything!
Using the computer I print on clear return address labels....Made For (name) With Love By Mom/Grandma/Gerry and the year. The grandkids love showing their friends a card from Grandma made just for them
I actually have several of them to fit the style of card or my mood, etc. Four of my favorites are a small cancer ribbon, a small Fluffles the cat that says hand made by, one that says "If you had any idea how long it took to make this card, you would never throw it away" and finally, "It took hours to make this card. Act impressed!" I also have a stamp that has my name and I always write the year with matching ink.
I use a Stampin' Up stamp that has their logo on it. I sign my first initial and last name and put the month and year I made the card. I have a wonderful OLD stamp that someone gave me. It says, I stamp because I can't draw!

I always sign my first name or initial on the back of my cards and also date them (i.r. 9/09). I have several stamps that are appropriate to stamp near the signature that may have a graphic and something like "Hand stamped by" or "Stamped with love". I also have a verse to stamp on the back of the card that reminds me of the Hallmark verse and refers to the art of card making.

My recepients now expect all of this.
That reminds me of one I've seen that says something like, "When Hallmark Just Isn't Good Enough. Anybody know who sells that? I'd still like to get it.
I found a heart shaped rubber stamp that has a opening in the center top of the heart. The opening is the outline of the state of Texas. I usually stamp it in white then using white ink, I write my SCS name (oleladydevine) around it. If my great-nephew helps me make the item, I put both our names around the outside of the stamp. I just bought the stamp b/c I liked it. But eventually it ended up being my sort of logo.
I ordered mine free from Vistaprint. I chose one of their address stamps and instead of putting my address, put (1) Art♥from♥the♥Heart, (2) Handmade by Emily Leiphart, and (3) my blog url. It's tiny yet looks very professional and I stamp it at the very bottom centre just like a card sold in stores.
I used to stamp a small, inexpensive stamp that said, "Hand Stamped by" at the bottom center of the back of my cards, and then I would write my name in ink in as close a color as possible to the stamped image. Then a dear friend, whose parents worked in a printing company, had a stamp made from that image so I could stamp the sentiment and my name all at once in the same color ink and use my band stamp to add the date in the same color ink as well. This was the most fabulous gift, as I used it for every card I made. I have had two more stamps made since as I have worn out the previous stamps with all the use. I use the same company and gladly pay the approximately $15 that it costs.

I think I know what stamp you are talking about. I have one of every one that was available at the time. I just looked and I can't seem to find them anymore, maybe they had to stop making them? I did find a few on ebay though.

Thanks, I got them from Viva Las Vegas Stamps (sp?). I received them unmounted and I mounted them myself. I used to sell them, but I sold all of the ones that I had and I don't think Viva Las Vegas Stamps has any more of them. I looked and I couldn't find any. I'm wondering if they can't sell them anymore....copy right issue, maybe?
I have several or sometimes just use a small one that fits in with the theme of the card..then I hand write "Made by Polly" . One of the funny ones I have says "When you care enough to make it yourself" with a crown in the middle..a take off on the Hallmark phrase and logo.
Do you know who makes this stamp?
Also, any Canadian companies that you ladies could recommend?

I have that one, too! Love it - of course there are certain people I send cards to that would be offended by that, so I have a vast collection of various designs and themes to choose from. Didn't realize just how many I had until I saw this thread and counted them up. Yikes!

'It took hours to make this card...act impressed' comes from Class Act in Oshawa, Ont. She has a web site that you can go look at. Her service is very good and they are very accommodating.
My favorite that I am using right now is a fancy victorian heart with the wording "Made
with Love" written in the middle. The stamp is made by Inkadinkado. Then I
sign love and my name beside it.
