Thanx for all the nice comments. These blanks are made for making air/car fresheners. I cut them in half to save product. I really can't remember where I bought them, but the blank chipboard coasters (medium weight) seem very similar to these. It needs to be thick enough not to warp, and somewhat rough and pourous.
Here is a link to some blanks and a great place to get your fragrances. I used to have a candle making business, so I have a whole closet full of fragrance oils, and this is where I got mine.

Keep in mind that some fragrance oils can be quite dark in color. Keep this in mind when chosing a scent, as the color of the oil will affect the look of the freshener. I tried a few different kinds of ink, and they eventually bled from the fragrance. Embossing the image is a must!
These do last quite a while, I've had one in my car over a month and it still smells especially when the heat in on!
Here is what I did. Be sure to work in a well ventilated area!
1. Round corners (optional)
2. Emboss image (leave room for hole at the top)
3. Apply gromit
4. Color in with colored pencils or chalk (sometimes the markers will bleed after a while, so it's best to use pencils)
4. Brush on fragrance oil with old paint brush (use a small flat artist brush), apply to front and back allowing it to soak in. I just put a few coats on till it looks like it's soaked in well. You don't want to have it dripping wet and be greasy!
5. Tie on your ribbon and apply any embellishments to the ribbon and NOT the freshener itself! The fragrane oil is oily, and I don't reccomend covering with dp, or the adhesive will probaby losen up and make a mess.
6. I clip mine to a clothesline to allow it to dry a bit and soak in.
7. Package in cello bag or hang in your car or sunny window.
