I told her that I wouldn't have knowingly paid .38 per pen, let alone the $1-something that they were listed at regular price....I could get them MUCH cheaper at Walmart.
The last RSVP pens I purchased locally were $5.99 for 12 at Staples and the assorted pack of 6 I purchased at Walmart was almost $4.00. At Viking it's $4.56 for 12 so I think it's still a good deal at .38 each.

Sorry for the multiple post - I only hit submit once. I'm having lots of problems with the site not loading and getting server not responding problems. :(
Don't worry about it -- just ignore the "couldn't get mail server response codes" error message. I think all it means is that the site can't show you the confirmation message, not that the post isn't going through. Whenever I get it, I just back up to the thread page and hit 'refresh' and my post appears.

I tried to order adhesive from Viking.com but was unable to use any of the prefixes for the discount. :( Then, I figured out how it worked. You type in ALN-62202 for the adhesive refills under specials. Thought I would mention this in case there are others out there who just didn't get it! :?
Thanks for posting this. I can't wait to use Viking when we get back to the mainland; in HI right now. I go thru Mono when I scrapbook because I don't like anything else in my scrapbooks. I will still order the SNAIL for parties and workshops though.
Shoot... :? :? :? .Not only am I having problems with the $20.00 off... :( .but, I'm trying to order the buy one/get one on the HP CD-R spindles...and its on sale for $9.97, which is a very good price for the Cd-r's.....it keeps adding extras to my cart...wants to give me the free bag with the $50 order but not the $20 off....however, I did sign up on ebates....you've got one more referral coming your way..... Its late, even out here in CA and I'm going to call it a night, or a morning

Hi there - Karen from Australia popping up again! lol
I would LOVE to get a box of the 100 WHITE envelopes which come down to $3.98. I would pay shipping costs as well as the cost of the envelopes by paypal if anyone would be interested in sending them to me here in Australia. We cannot get that particular size envelope here ANYWHERE!
Would anyone be so kind as to help me out? The envelopes code is QL2-505677
If you would like to help could you please send me a PM!
I just got a call today from Viking Customer Service...she said she's sending me a $20 off $50 coupon. Woo Hoo!!! If it's not a one-time use thing, I'll post it here!!
Hi specialkx3
Thanks for posting the codes. I used AL2 as the prefix today 2-17-05 and I got a great discount for all the stuff I ordered. Mono refill was $1.88.
Thanks so much to everyone for all the great sharing of ideas and now how to save money to boot. Yahoo... I can buy more stamps.

I think they are one-time only, or one use per month -- not really sure. If you post it here and someone else uses it, you may not be able to! :(

From a post on another subject it says you have to put the coupon code in your cart before you put in your merchandise. This works as i just ordered the prismacolor pencils, regularly$148.90 and my final total was $40.86.
This is my first post to SCS, and my first Viking order. Thank you for the tips. I got all the discount prices plus the $20 off. I ordered the envelopes, mono refills and doublestick tape. I can't wait to get the box!
Any Viking code promos for the month of March?
I tried to enter coding for the mono refills Q0e-62202 and came up with the price $2.39 each. Does any one have something more current? Is anyone aware of any special deals? Thanks!

Did you try changing the prefix? See the first post in this thread for details. :-)
This was my first time ordering with Viking (thanks for all the info about them!!)... and some of the codes that have been posted on here didn't work. I played around using different prefixes, so I thought I'd post about what worked for me:
Thanks everyone for the posts. I have been wanting to make a Viking order. Never ordered from them before but their prices seem great. I'll give them a try.
So on Wed. I did an order for mono, tape, dispensers and such and used the $20 off code - all was well and I got my package last night about 30 hours after placing the order....
So I am telling DH the great deal I got as I paid $32 for over $100 worth of stuff (BTW I have ordered from Viking a few times before) and he asks me - do they have printer ink? (ours just ran out)
So I grab my ginormous catalog and sit down at the computer - put in the code from the catalog and up popped what I needed for $24.98 - so I thought Hummm what if I put a different 3 letter/number code in the front...so I did - one made the price go down tot $20.88 but I hit the jackpot when I put code AL3 in front - $16.88 !!!
Did the same thing for the color cartridge - reg price $38.99 - got one for $26.99!!!
Needed a ream of paper for the printer - found one I liked in the catalog and manipulated the first 3 L/n code and ended up getting a ream of paper for $3.38 instead of $8....
Also had to get some envelopes and more double stick tape
I set up an account for my DH so we could use the $20 off $50...needless to say we got everything for the cost of what it would have cost us for 1 color cartridge at some place like Office Max or Staples....
just thought I would share - well worth it to try out some of the prefix codes on the stuff in the catalog....
I figure they probably have different level of codes depending on your company - if you are a large company always buying a lot from them you probably get catalogs with the cheaper codes
