Default Cutting Stamps apart

I have cut apart some of my stamp sets.
(like A Little Love, A Little Hello, God Bless America, Wonderful Woodcuts, All Gods Children, and Small Incentives).
I use the words by themselves or they need to be a different color, or in a different place. I thought this would be the easiest way to use the stamps, and it is! I was at a friends house stamping with some other ladies and one of them was completely shocked by this. Am I the only person that has done this?!

Default Cutting up stamps!

Thanks for giving me the idea. I have not done that yet, but I might try it. I normally put tape over the words, then fill the stamp with ink, then take the tape off and I get only the image that accepted the ink. It's a little bit of work - I like your idea better.

Default Question about A Little Love

My demonstrator suggested when cutting the words off of A Little Love, that we peel the gray pad off first before placing them on the end of the block. She said this because the words are so skinny/small that the pad makes them wiggle some when stamping and the image isn't as crisp that way. My question is this--how do I get the words to now stick to my blocks well, for the sticky stuff mostly came off when I peeled the layers apart. I sure don't want to lose them! Right now I have double sided tape holding them on, but I think that probably isn't the best way. What would you suggest? Thanks.

If you're really, really careful, I have found that crazy glue ( I use the gel and a toothpick to be very precise) works great at getting the small words to stay on the the mount. It doesn't move and it hold it for a long, long time.

I never have taken the foam padding out. I cut them apart before mounting. I use them with a tad lighter hand than the others and have had no problems. I had a friend over last evening to stamp and she wanted to try my Little Love set out before going home and cutting it apart. She only had to stamp it twice to get the feel of it.

Default Crystal Effects to glue on words

I have cut apart the image from the words. I did it on A Little Love. Then I took the foam off the words. To stick the little words to the wood blocks, use Crystal Effects. It is a perfect glue for that.
