Default Help me please!!!

I WAS at convention, I WAS paying attention, or so I thought. I loved the WOS with the pop up glue dots and EP, but I CAN"T for the life of me get this to work like they did!!! My first question, when they used the clear EP didn't it make the glue dot go a blackish color, or were my fellow demos' and I so worn out that we were not seeing clearly? It just stays clear for me. Also, Dazzling diamonds on the glue dot, Im sure it dazzled more than mine is. Gold and silver EP, did they emboss on the glue strip and then put it on the project? I wanted to WOW my clubbers with some of these techniques but think they will leave early due to my flops!! Any help out there??
Vicky

I don't remember there being a demo with pop up glue dots at convention. There was however a demo with them at the regionals year before last. Linda Hanson demo'd them. I believe you put the EP an the dot and heat until it flattens a bit.
The technique is faux crystal effects. you emboss- heat-emboss-heat creates a clear or colored dot.

I think they used versa mark first for the dot and then put the gold embossing powder next and then heated.

They put gold embossing powder on the pop up glue dot and then embossed. And they put the embossing powder directly onto a line of sticky strip already on the project and then embossed.

Hope that helps!

I guess they had completely different WOW WS's at Session 2, we didn't have anything like that. Great stuff at Session 2 also but none of that. Jan

OK, not to rub it in, but she was AWESOME! I loved her box presentation! I'm sure there are pics here somewhere... I have some, just haven't loaded them yet!

Ok girls, I was at the first session of convention... For the pop up dots, just add dazzleing diamonds, I made the card they demo'd using double line doodle, it came out great. When you add clear embossing powder to the glue dot, it does not turn black,, just shiny. I think because they had all those great lights over them, it looked more shiny.
good luck to all** Sue

Sue, do you have a pic of the card with the Double Line Doodle? Do you mean that you did or did not add the embossing powder and heat the dot on yours? Do you have to do that to make the DD glitter stick?

Thanks for your help.

Michelle was incredible! My friend and I saw her at general session the next day and went up to tell her awesome she was. We then got a photo and told her how we stalk(er follow) her on SCS. I hope we didn't scare her! LOL! I'm a huge fan and she did not disappoint!
