So true...I don't think I am ever right! I would like to see a big house cleaning with lots of new stuff...but my wallet would not like that!

Default Thanks for the laughs...

LOLOLOLOLOL.... I'm not a consultant...so all these stamps you guys are talking about (or creaped out by) I look them up in my catty. I have to say, I have busted out laughing more than once. You're all funny.

Thanks for the laughs..and I agree--alot of these are bizarre. I would love to know how many sets of these are sold compared to the more popular ones.

Question PM the 2004-2005 retired list?

Does anyone have the retired list for the 2004-2005 catalog? I never marked off the discontinued stamps in the book. I usually do....

Anyone? Thanks in advance

Some of sets mentioned above could 'go away' & wouldn't be missed but I'd like to see some replaced with newer but similar sets........ word & greeting sets, a new version of sets like Little Layers, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, etc. I use these a ton to create full backgrounds.

If they do make some really Christmas-y sets then I hope they make a couple of sets that are just Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays and the like because right now, most of the sets are a mix of both and I'd rather not have to pay for a large set of mostly Christmas stamps just to find one stamp that works for other holidays. There is only one Jewish stamp set and it doesn't have any holiday words in it! I need sayings that are appropriate for Rosh HaShannah, Passover, Hanukkah, etc, not to mention things like Thanksgiving. New sympathy and birthday would be great, too!

I hear ya. I'd love to see a small word set with all the holidays (Christian, Jewish, Muslim, secular) and card words (thanks, sympathy, congrats, etc.). It could be like the Everyday Flexible Phrases...ah, I can dream!

I'm sure what goes and what stays are largely decided by sales, but it's hard to imagine the creepy kids having too many takers given the opinions expressed here! I've got almost everything in the current catalog I want, so I'm just looking forward to seeing something new and different. Bring it on!

Yes...please hear Lisa. That one really needs to GO and GO fast. I thought that it would go last year and it made it in this catty this year. Ick. Just not my style I guess.

I had never noticed the creepy children set until I read this thread - it is too funny - do you think they have sold even one? I also don't like the "cartoony sets", but have to say that I think the watermelon head looking children are kind of cute.

The sets that I would like to see go are:
All the Little Layers sets, Window on the World, Little Somethings, Stipple Celebrations, Nice & Easy Notes (I bought this one way back in '97), Simple Wishes (I bought this one 6 years ago), Favorite Teddy Bear, all the old sellabration sets, Feathered Friends, Tags & More, A Greeting for All Reasons, Smile(this was the 1st set I ever bought), Computer Quips, A Good Sign, Wanda, Wilson, Mice, Wisecracks, Please Be Seated, Charming Children, I could go on and on, but I will stop there.

I would like to see SU sell some of thier stamps individually so if you didn't want the whole set, but just one stamp, you could purchase it.

Also, it would be nice to have a football set, a soccer set, a cheerleading set, a basketball set, a baseball set, and not have them all mixed together.

Lastly, it would be nice to see SU come back out with a set for Girl Scouts as well as Boy Scouts.

Just my thoughts.

for me it's the mice. I love HouseMouse, but the SU mice are rats not mice! I think Nice and Easy Notes stays because it's a great set for the timid beginner. That was my first set, and when I look at some of my old cards I almost shutter!

Just wondering.....do those of you that chose Favorite Teddy, not like the set or are you just tired of it? I ditto the thought on more word stamps, I find myself searching through Hobby Lobby when they have stamps on sale just for new sentiments.

I'm curious too - I love that set and use it for birthdays, Christmas, etc. You don't even need to use the bear if you don't want because there's the cake, presents, etc.

I'm just tired of that bear. They took Button Bear which had been in the catty forever and basically made him stand up and have similar accessories he had before. He needs to be put to sleep...

Default Crayon Kids

Am I the only one who hates the one with the crayon kids? It's bad. And I am also very surprized that I have sold SEVERAL of the Charming Children ones. They are awful. Oh, yuck. Also, I think basically all the stamp sets that go with the wheeling promotion could go. But I LOVE my gnomes. They are, I think, my favourite! Whenever I run out of inspiration, I bring them out.

This thread has me laughing so hard I started to cry. I like cute, as in unfrogettable cute, but those ratty mice heads literally look like something you would send to someone to freak them out. What were they thinking???? did anyone buy that set??

I would like a better selection of little critters....chicks, bunnies, animals, or other little creatures...Some are too cartoonish, the mice do not have cute faces. I do love the giraffe with scarves, the little snail guy, some are very sweet...

I just about fell out of my chair laughing so hard. I agree with all of your suggestions but I also think they need to redo some flowers. They are all starting to look the same to me. And the creepy children can go. My (soon to be) MIL gave me her set and I just thanked her and stuck it in the back of my drawer. I am a demo so I can't even sell the dumb thing on ebay because it is current :???:

Hehehe!! Those creepy children are a must leave! I also agree w/ the nice and easy notes...it was my very first set, and have used it---but that was years ago...I think a lot of the stuff needs to be replaced or re-thought....lets all hope!

Regarding At the Races, since all NASCAR cars have sponsors' logos on their cars, I'm thinking SU! put their logo on the cars to make it look like a sponsor. Not a great idea but I'm guessing that was their intent. Really don't like the set and hope it goes along with most mentioned above plus Pretty Princess (what's pretty about her?), Renaissance Angels, Toucan of My Love, I Like Your Style, and Right at Home.
