I've been asked by several people at work to create 5-10 cards with envelopes..my question is, for those that give these as gifts, how do you create these "sets"? Are all the cards the same with different verses on them, do you leave them blank? I would like to see examples of card/gift sets if anyone can point me in the right direction much appreciated!
I'm making sets as gifts for a couple of siblings and leaving the insides blank. I'm planning on doing 3-4 birthday cards, a couple thinking of you's, and a love you card. I figure those are pretty safe!
Don't be afraid to ask them what types of cards they want and if they're for younger or older recipients...maybe they would like all birthday or a nice variety. A lot of it is how much time you have to stamp too. I like to make a variety, bring them in and have them choose which ones they want. I had one co-worker who had several Aunts she wanted cards for, so I made more mature feminine cards for her to choose from. If they've seen some of your cards in the past, chances are if they've had sentiments, they'll want sentiments. Don't be afraid to ask. I also have a friend who puts all her cards for sale in a box, separates them by occasion (she puts them in a baggie so they are protected from fingerprints) then lets her patrons choose which ones they want. I also try to take pictures of cards that I sell, that way I can duplicate it if necessary. Hope this helps.

I do a lot of floral cards that can be multi-purpose. My favorite word stamp is "Thinking of You", and I have several in different type faces. They are appropriate for ... on your birthday, in your loss of a loved one, get well, etc. I also include several inserts on plain white cardstock, printed on the computer with various greetings.... sympathy, birthday, etc. I trim them slightly smaller than the cards and do them both portrait and landscape to work either way. A small folder that holds five cards and envelopes completes the set.
A box of cards is my favorite gift to give away. I made these cards for my cousin. Here's a tutorial for the gift box I put the cards in.
And HEREis another set of cards in a box. GinaK did video tutorials on this, too - Part 1, Part 2.

I peeked at your (momtoggk) cards, they are beautiful...I love the idea of doing a set with the same style as you did...mine have always been an eclectic styled. Very nice. You are very talented, thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Scrappy48. Most of the time I try to coordinate the cards in the set and make a matching box, too. It's easier for me that I can use the same images, papers, color combo for all of them.

One way to make a set of coordinating cards is to do a One Sheet Wonder. There are probably several templates here on SCS if you do a search. Here's a link also to some templates I have made...

Cookiestamper: What a cool idea! Your cards a beautiful! I did something similar to that this past summer, I found an article on it in a magazine. Hadn't thought of it for Christmas / Gift card sets! If only I had more hours in a day! I will have to put together some supplies and see what I can come up with. Thanks for sharing!
Askagain, I love the way you shaded your stamped image...very pretty! It's nice the way you packaged them.

I made 2 of each card and put them in an A2 gift box that I made following Beate John's tutorial here on SCS (link below). I included envelopes that already had Forever stamps on them, and then 8 various greetings stamped on very vanilla. My mom can choose whichever sentiment she wants and simply adhere it to the inside of the card with the 2-sided tape I included in the gift box.

This past summer I made of set of cards with SU's Abundant Joy set. I included an assortment of loose sentiment pages with sticky tabs on the back so she could use the one she liked with each card. Here's a link to them in my gallery:
