Default need a advise on new inkjet printer

My HP R80 All-In-One printer just died. I will need to buy a new printer after Christmas. Which printer do you use? It's a hard choice with so many options. I need one with color copy capabilities, scanner and fax. Thanks for the help. Happy Holidays - Almost here

I'm in the hunt for a new printer too, actually I need a whole new computer, but that's a different story...

Anyway, my mother has a Lexmark printer that has a copier, scanner, etc. I don't think it has a fax on it, but I'd look at Lexmark's website and see what they have that would work for you. My mom just loves hers and I think that's the kind of i'm going to end up with too.

I am a die-hard HP fan. After having an Epson, Cannon, and LexMark I will only buy HPs. My first HP actually got fried when we got struck by lightening and HP sent me a brand new one since it was in the 1st year that I owned it. There are a lot of different HPs with scan, copy, fax, etc. options and they are very resonably priced. I have had my HP (the new one they sent me) for 4 years and it is AWESOME! The only reason I would replace it is b/c my husband loves to spend money!

It may depend if you want it also for printing photographs. Both Hp and Epson are really good. However, the ink used in the Epson is better because it is water resisitant where the Hp is not. The Epson also has seperate ink cartridges. This is helpful when you run out of blue but not red. With Epson you only buy the color you need rather than a whole new ink cartridge. The ink is where they make their money!

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

I have an HP with 4 separate cartridges - red, yellow, blue and a double sized black. HP Business Injet 2200, and I've had it for at least 5 years. So separate cartridges is not a new thing. And I have an HP LaserJet4P (b/w) that is over 10 years old. I'm HP all the way. Quality of printer is a factor, but photo paper is the determining factor. Buy the best - Kodak paper.
