Default Need Ideas please

Hello everyone I have been asked to make 30 birthday invites for a dear friend (so no charge involved) her theme us ugly sweater. Everyone will have to wear an ugly sweater to her 50th birthday party. I have a sweatshirt stamp that I can cut out and use as the base of the card but not limited to using it. Anyone have some ideas of what I can do? I need to make quite a few, and I have to watch my budget too. Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated

TIA,
Bonnie

Well, off the top of my head I'm thinking of a sweater card. Probably cause I just ordered the argyle embossing folder so that I can make sweater cards. Check out this lady's cards: A Passion For Cards: Making the most of your punches

This made me smile. My family teases me about my "ugly" sweaters..I love the holiday ones with all the decorations. I have one that has fiber optics in it and the snowflakes dance. Reminds me of the movie Bridge Jones' Diary with the sweater Colin Firth wore with the giant Rudolf on it his mom gave him. Have a blast at the party. Sounds fun.

Depending on your sweater stamp; if it's line art you could paper piece different DSPs onto the image and have several "ugly" sweaters on the front of the invite or just one in the corner if it's going to be a no fold card. Good way to use up scraps of DSP....and you don't have to make them all match or pretty....what a bonus!

Sounds like a fun party!

Thanks, Carole, for the mention. I'm glad you liked the cards. I mentioned in an earlier thread that they look good with a little zipper instead of the buttons. I must remember to put a photo of one I made like this on my blog. Ruth
