Hi, I have a friend who got the web address for an inexpensive ink caddy from SCS. She said that it is really an Audio Cassette Spinner. Does anyone know where I can get one?
Wow. Seriously cheap!!!!!
Can I ask why you only use every second one? Is it because you don't have more inkpads, or is it because they won't fit?
Yes, I would like to know this too. That seems like a good deal! But I would like to use every slot if I wanted.... (yeah, I can dream I have enough ink pads for that!!! hahaha)

Even though this is the caddy I purchased, it is NOT the one that actually looks like the SU one. I believe, after speaking to several stamping buddies that the spaces are a bit tight to fit one in every slot. However, I like the idea of being able to see in the spot. I will keep the stamping spots in these empty spaces!
I've had this one for a few years....I use every other slot as it's too tight to fill every slot and this way it's easy to pull out the pad you want. There's also a trick to it. You place the pad in the slot sideways and slip the right side first and then the side with the three dots where you open the pads (that side is thicker and it fits more snuggly. It's kind of hard to explain but it works and holds them in better.

Ironically, my "Friend" in the first section is LEE CONREY, the person who has posted the blank spot explaination. She just emailed me the web address. Ha Ha Ha!!! Now she knows my name on SCS!
This looks like an excellent solution - you've described how the new style SU pads fit. Do you also have other stamps pads such as Staz-On & the old SU type, the new Ranger Distressed Ink pads? How do these fit?
Thanks,
Kitty

I'm also curious to see how other stamp pads would fit.
I use the Ink Pad Palace from http://www.motherrubber.com she also just designed some drawers to fit in the spaces to hold spots, pens, reinkers, etc. It's made of sturdy cardboard. Even though I love the look of some of the fancy caddies, I'd rather spend my bucks on stamps and supplies than storage and this works great for me.
She also carries all the colors of Staz-On for those that have been looking!!
Okay, I got the caddy and have stocked it. The New SU pads fit great. BUT, they go in BACKWARDS!!! That's why they go in every other slot. That's okay, you can see the colors. As for Staz On and other smaller brands, they DO NOT fit. This is okay, as I have attached a Black basket to the top to hold them! I love this and for under $11 it was worth it!
