how about a NEW ZOO SET too.READ THIS.you can make a cat like a tiger.then make it just an outline of the cat.then have a two step stamp with stripes to add on the inside to make it a tiger.or spots for a leaopard.or a shaded stamp for a female lion.we also need a monkey,a male lion,a bear,a camel, rhino, parrots,a cage because we wouldn't want to let all the animals out,a sign that says do not feed the animals.and a blank sign for us to add the name of the animal in the cage.then the list of all the animals to go along with the images.
And a similar set for a petting zoo.
Yes, yes! Zoo animals! I already posted to this thread, but now I'm posting for my sons. 6 YO DS wants a lizard set, and 7 YO DS wants sea animals, like whales, dolphins, fish, etc., but not like Fishy Friends, he wants realistic looking ones.

I'm all for lots of new animal sets. I would also love to see a doctor themed set I'm just starting my first year of veterinary school and I definately could use one. Not too cutesy though.
Since I joined SU only last year and bought old catty's from my upline I'd like to see retired sets return each year so we newbies could have a chance to buy them I don't like having to go on ebay and have bidding wars! Thanks SU
I haven't read this entire thread, but they told us at convention (July) that they were finished with the stamp sets for Sellabration and were working on the Spring Mini and next year's catalog. So get those suggestions soon to [email protected] before it is too late.

Great Idea .I've never thought of that but I would like to see that as well!
Ok Here's my list--I'm going to send it to SU as soon as I can get their suggestions page to work--Every time I try, it doesn't!:
Here are my top WANTS:
1.) Martini, Wine, Cocktail Party Invitations for grown ups! A set with martini glass, olives, wine bottle, wine glass, grapes, cheese, champagne or cocktail glasses, and then a You're invited or "a cocktail party" or something. I realize that Mormons don't drink, but this is a serious need for many people :-)
2.) Gymnastics Set, I'd even go for Poetry in Motion, but I'd like a different one!
3.) National Parks Set done in the style of the original 1920's posters for the WPA. You can check out the National Parks stores to see what these look like. They would be "vintage" in style, but the posters have more of an art deco flair than any of the Su sets have had.
4.) Justice/Law set
Here is what I agree with that others have said:
YES! Better Jewish themed Sets--Sukkot is a neat idea, but I was thinking high holidays and passover.
YES! Magic Set for Harry Potter/Narnia fans, this isn't going away anytime soon!
YES! St. Patrick's Day/Celtic sets
YES! YES! YES! Hockey Set--we are HUGE Hockey fans here!!
YES! Silent Setter
YES! Baby Jesus/ Realistic looking manger scene set
YES! Zoo set!!
YES! Spiral Catty
YES! Girl Scouts, not Brownies
YES! Watercolor Crayons in cheaper configurations
YES! Something better for Halloween
YES! Take away the Creepy, not so charming, Children (I am sooo relieved that y'all said this, I have been looking at them and thinking, 'Who buys these?".
I love the Loads Of Love set and the accessories and would "love it loads" (sorry couldn't resist) if they would make more sets where you could build on the original set.
I would also like to see NFL stamps (I know Licensing issues, but my mom would love to have a Cheesehead set of stamps). Maybe there could be some sort of generic version?
Definately agree on the not so "Charming Children" having to be retired. Very creepy.
Thanks for the neat thread!!!

I love the idea of some dress-up boy type stuff (knights, cowboys, etc.)
How about having differant faces and then stamps with differant bodies and head accessories. Kind of like paper dolls. There could be a boy set and a girl set with 3 or 4 differant facial expressions and then differant dress up options (princess, fairy, cowgirl, witch, etc. and for boys knights, cowboys, football, etc). There could even be a sport set, fairlytale set and "when I grow up" set and these could be unisex sets.
Hope that makes sense.
I too would like to see Boy Scout/Girl Scout stamp sets. My oldest son is working toward his Eagle rank and I would like to make a scrapbook of his scouting pictures to display at his Eagle Court of Honor.
Thanks again!

I just send su this url so hopefully they do get this. But just in case they don't because I daubt it if I will hear from them.so it would be nice if someone else can send this off to them also just in case my doesn't make it for some reason or another.then they can read all the updates and hopefully take some of these into consideration and we will get some in the next catalog.

-More scrapbook choices---bring back the fun patterns and colors!
-Hanukkah set
-Anniversary set
-more patterned/textured papers
-Silent Setter--I LOVE mine and would be able to sell a ton!!
I agree with many of the ideas here, the best one being a
SPIRAL CATTY. And I would pay (a little) more for it too.
I have been stamping a little over a year, but have older
cattys and use them all the time for inspiration. Spiral
just makes sense.
GREAT thread!

GREAT thread!
I love this thread. So many great ideas. I really hope SU! takes these ideas into account.
I would really like to see the Canadian prices better reflect the worth of our dollar and be more comparible to the prices in the US catalogue. Some prices work out just fine with exchange - others are about $10 over priced. I think there needs to be more consistency in the price conversions.
Oh, and I love having both English and French catties available in Canada. Is there a need for a Spanish catty?
Didn't have time to read all posts so if I'm duplicating, please forgive:
-eyelets and brads available in EACH color (say for example 200 in lilac or whatever) - would make swaps sooooooo much easier!
-lots and lots and lots of different ribbons...like rick rack, polka dotted, etc in a rainbow of colors and patterns!!
-availability to replace "tools" in the tool kit without spending almost $60 Cdn to replace the one that's lost/damaged/stolen
-ability to buy designer papers in single packs
-more embellishments - charms, brads that are not just plain...but like different shapes, etc., more METAL pieces that you can buy (like refills for the hodgepodge hardware kit). Just loads and loads of "'bellies"!
-tag punches of ALL sizes!!!
-wedding set that is classy, not cutesy!
I would also love to see less Christmas items in the main catty and maybe a few more in the Holiday mini ~ make more room for "all occasion" sets!
This is a great idea!!! Who's compiling all this and sending it to DS?! LOL!! ;)

SPIRAL CATTY. And I would pay (a little) more for it too. I have been stamping a little over a year, but have older cattys and use them all the time for inspiration. Spiral just makes sense. GREAT thread!
I just take my old catalogs down to our local printers - they chop off just the glue binding part of the catalog and spiral it up for me - it only costs about $3.00 each...
I also thought of another thing that I would like in the catalog... a non-cartoonist vacation stamp set...
I am a new SU demo and I brought four of my cattys to Staples to have the cover laminated and put into a spiral binder. They are WAY easier to look through at my workshops and many of my hostesses have gotten their books done too! It was only $5 and well worth the money.
Hodgepodge pieces-sold separately-( so when you do swaps you don't have to buy elsewhere-this hodgepodge set is great, but the demos don't use it because it is too expensive to use for workshops, classes, etc. since there are only a few pieces of each thing. They would sell more of the items if they were sold in bulk-maybe even if they were a supply order.)
Brads, buttons and eyelets sold individually as well-in all colors!
Teen sets-for older teens-the "You go Girl", "You Rock", "Hottie", A Phone, IPOD, computer, CHAT, (chatting-BIG thing!) mall saying, PROM or (Prom set), maybe something to do with driving or driver's license, sweet sixteen, High School stuff (Not so Cutsey)
Dog set-realistic looking- maybe with different breeds of dogs for each stamp-(Rottweiler,Lab, Collie, etc.) puppies, a doghouse, maybe a bone, tennis ball, etc. -I have a Rottweiler -would love a rottweiler stamp in a set (I am dreaming because they will probably never come out with a rottweiler stamp, like they did of the terrier-just a wish!)
(Pattered paper for pets- dog, cat, horse, etc. (Some of the pattered pet papers I have seen have dog bones, tennis balls catfood, newspaper articles about pets, (like classifieds-cute stuff)
Cat set-realistic set as well- maybe with different breeds of cats as well-tabby, tuxedo tabby, siamese, persian, himalyian, calico and plain black or white(could be any color)- Maybe faces as well
Easter-religious- I miss the one with the cross and scripture
Christmas-nativity and scripture
Motorcycle-like Harley- I do have "Born to Ride", but my husband has a motorcycle he just got and loves it- more sayings for a motorcycle driver-
(maybe a leather jacket, chaps, open road)
I like the idea of a set with a tractor, train, car, plane, boat, motorcycle for people who don't want a whole set with just one theme.
SCUBA Diving set!
Music set-more realistic-maybe with instuments
More Jumbo wheels and cartridges
Hummingbirds
Polar Bears!
Vintage and Heritage sets
Scrapbook options
Word sets in smaller sets-(not $40.00 sets-I love all of the small words and would like larger ones-but hate to put out $40.00 for one set!)
Tag punches in different sizes!!
Circle tag punches too!
More 2-step
I like the idea of "The Man's Best Friend" that would go with the "Sketch It" or "Summer By the Sea" Style (an accessory set with a person and their dog or cat)
Maybe a set like "Summer by the Sea" but in a Mountain-type setting-cabin
Definately need another camping set
This is all I can think of for now- mainly the Dog, Cat, teen, Scuba are on the top of my list! I would also like an aquarium and fish set maybe. (We have fish too and I didn't have a set with something like that for my family page I made.
I would like to see a mountain climbing set. Actually, even a just a mountain set! And an extreme sports set - a paraglider, an ice climber, a kayaker, a mountain biker, a skydiver, etc with some really cool sayings to go with it.
I would love to see more sports themed sets aimed at girls. I think soccer, hockey (definitely a must), softball, basketball, etc. Two of my three girls are not girly girls and it would be nice to see something for them.
I agree that masculine type sets are a must.
I would like to see them add twinkling H2O's. I think it would be fun to demo them.
I also would love a set of different cocktail glasses with a beer bottle and ice bucket.
I had my catalog spiral bound at Office Depot, and it did chop off a very tiny portion of the pages. My thought was if the catalogs come already on a spiral, SU will make sure we don't lose any parts of the pages. My demo had hers done and had the index put in with the outer edges to the inside so she didn't lose anything (Did that make sense?).
I totally agree with smaller rolls of ribbon and more of them. I just was part of a ribbon swap that my TOTALLY AWESOME demo did, and it is great to have 5 yards of each of the grosgrain ribbon.
These are great ideas - I hope SU takes them into consideration!
Did you lose part of the images by having it spiral-bound?
I didn't find that I lost anything. The only part that they cut off was lost in the margins anyways because I am quite anal about not bending my books too much - I like a nice, clean spine!!
A blank postage stamp set complete with a masking template to do the faux postage stamps...
A sewing type set with the ribbons and stitches (like the HA set), realistic buttons and pins - inc. safety pin to do scrapbook pages without the bulk...
A silent setter...
Tag punches in different sizes...
Agree with the sampler of ribbon. I love that SUs ribbon is so long, but it will take me forever to use it -- I'd rather have a smaller sample of more colours...
More penguin pals sets (where did those guys go?)...
Love the idea of smaller sets so one could mix and match according to her desires. Love the idea of smaller word sets, too. Paying $40 for a word set - ouch! They would probably sell more sets at $20 than $40. I really like the idea of interchangeable sets.
I would like to see a martial arts stamp set & something with archery/bows & arrows.
I really would like to see the snowflake vellum back again as well as the different sizes of gable boxes, not just large & mini.
- A stamp set that celebrates READING -- so that we can make bookmarks for kids in the classroom;
- Any sort of photo-realistic stamp would be great
- Stamps celebrating American Landmarks
-- Bring back some scenery-style stamps -- a series of two or three sets so that we can create a few scenes
- Just a couple funky collage-style element stamps (not like garden collage, more like artifacts -- creating our own collages is what I was thinking...)
- More floral sets that can take you in many directions: Look at the success of Heartfelt thanks and petal prints -- you can get so many looks from those stamps..
I would like to buy the case for the 48 markers. I bought each set individually so I didn't get the carrying case that comes with the whole set.
I would be really handy. I would also like to see more boys and men sets also.
Clear stamps would be really nice. I hate stamping something in the wrong place.
I agree with:
-he family members idea - I have customers asking for this all the time!
-the sympathy, cancer, and hope and comfort ideas.
-color families for eyelets, brads, ribbon, etc.
-better masculine sets, with a variety of images and sentiments for the variety of men in our lives. ie. sail boat, light house, car, train, truck, lake scene, cabin, workshop, airplane, music, books, dads with kids, etc.
-a nativity set
-a nice clasic looking santa set like Old Fashioned Christmas
-at least 3 Easter sets, one religious, one with easter bunnies and chicks etc., and one with easter eggs.
-no more scrary children, clowns, santas, cows, etc.
-retire Nice and Easy Notes already!
-another color family, with the pale aqua, mauve, mint, cranberry, periwinkle, magenta, charcoal, a yellow with a lime undertone, a bright blue between brilliant and bashful, that's all I can think of right now.
-let demos but individual items for workshops and camps.
-Valentine set, w/o "Be my Valentine" this doesn't work for most of the people you make a Valentine for.
-more specific sentiments, I personally don't need another "Thinking of you" stamp. I like "I Love You", You're Special", I'm Sorry", Our Thoughts are with You", Our Prayers are with You", "A Note to Cheer You", "You made my Day", "I'm here for you", "Happy Anniversary", "God Bless You", "Hope You're Feeling Better", "I'm Happy for You", Congratulations with events Marriage, Graduation, Retirement, New Baby, Adoption, New Job, Engagement, etc.
-non Christian religious sets.
-more ribbon options
-more glitter options
-more storage options
-more punches
-love the thank you background in many languages!
-more coluzzle templates, why not carry the entire line, I have them all anyway, why not be able to sell it.
-watercolor pencils more true to the 48 colors.
-a teen set with an instant messaging theme.
-school days type of set
-game night type set, cards, dice, etc.
-stichery set
I haven't had the time to read everyones responses but here is a want list for the future catalog that I would like to see.
an add on to the color caddy. I would love them to make an extension to the one they have to add the new colors. Plus it would be great if they added a shelf at the top to hold the Stampin Scrub like right under the handle part. I never know where to put mine on my desk and if it had a permanent home I would be very happy.
Sell the tag punch separately then the kit.
To break up the watercolor crayons into more affordable kits. maybe in the color families.
More Jewish type stamp sets so we can make Hanukkah cards.
More colors for their albums. Would like to see a purple and a pink and a light blue.
More brad colors
A storage case to store numerous kits sort of like the forget me not keeper but like a cube where you can put numerous stamp kits in it. Then you can purchase more and then stack them on top of each other.
**LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a color caddy extension. I wanted a new one that would house all of the neutrals too but didn't want to buy 2 whole new caddys. But an extension would be perfect!!!
**More color choices for the albums - Creative Memories really has us beat there. We have natural, red, and green. What about rose, bashful, eggplant, hunter, and several other colors. Or a white leather - great for wedding or baby albums. CM is my biggest competition with the scrapbookers - we need what they have but better.
Ooh ooh - fast formulas like scrapbook layouts and card sketches. CM puts out quarterly idea books with layouts that help you get an album done quickly. This would be helpful..
**Additional size tag punch
**Neutral Watercolor Crayons - gray and black!
**Polyshrink - love that stuff!
**Build your own stamping kits or even the kits they have now at a small discount
**Silent eyelet setter
**Bring back the porcelain ornaments (although if they were discontinued I'm assuming they didn't sell well) - even just in the holiday mini!
I do like the organization that they're getting.
Regarding less Christmas stamps: More people send out Christmas cards than anything else. I know that I personally send more than any other type of card. So the variety they offer is great.
I love the idea of the months written out, but I have a ton of alphabets and like the variety on each page when I do it myself so I'm a little torn here...
A ribbon sampler would be awesome too
And that's not even starting to talk about the sets I'd like to see. If I had my way, the catty would be 500 pages long LOL!
I like the idea about getting the hodgepodge in bulk - even if it's on a supply order.
Like the cocktail idea - but just a glass with liquid in it - then you can add an olive, little umbrella, cherry, whatever to make it whatever kind of drink you want instead of just having a martini. I like cosmopolitans and margaritas
OMG - everyone has come up with such creative stuff. I agree with lots of them. Here are my choices plus a few more:
*Definitely cocktails, martini, wine margarita glasses - nice not cartoony
*Additional sympathy stamps - not religious
*Nice Jewish stamps - for the holidays (hanukah, passover, rosh hashona and Yom Kippur), and just for mitzvahs like weddings, bris, etc.
* Magic and romantic - wizards, swords, knights, castles, pirates
* I'm so sorry stamps
* Seasonal stamps not related to holidays - winter, spring, summer, fall
* I love the idea of a multilingual BG for thank you. How about for birthdays and Xmas?
* New textured card stock
* Peach colored card stock
* Assorted pkg of neutral colored card stock
* a Noah's Ark set
* Asst Ribbons in 5 yd sets of family colors (EE, BB, RR, SS)
*The spiral bound idea is great - I went to Office Depot to get mine done
* Definitely agree with more masculine stamps and stamps for older teens (16 and older)
*More BG stamps with abstract designs
* A traveling set with landmarks from all over the states and a different one for landmarks for all over the world
* I like the Bon Voyage idea, too
I think it's about time they retired:
Nice and Easy notes
Feathered Friends and
Quick & Cute
SU has ink pads & markers for kids, but no actual stamp sets geared for kids to use themselves. My son likes to scrapbook and stamp with me. I have bought him the kids ink pads, but he uses other brand stamps since I do not want him using mine because he is only 4 years old. Santa is also going to bring him and his sister tattoo kits for their stockings!
I would like to buy the case for the 48 markers. I bought each set individually so I didn't get the carrying case that comes with the whole set.
I would be really handy. I would also like to see more boys and men sets also.
Clear stamps would be really nice. I hate stamping something in the wrong place.
rachael
How about the twelve new colors of markers in their own case? Then you could switch them out for the retired markers in the big case, and still have a place to keep your retired markers.
