I have a friend of a friend of a friend who does a "card ministry" at her church. Once a month the church ladies get together and make cards for Operation Write Home, our local Ronald McDonald House and a few other places. She is on a very limited budget. Do you know if any of the stamp companies make charitable donations of left over/retired product? I know SU did in the past, but I don't think they do so anymore. I told her I would inquire and let her know who she could contact, if anyone.
Thanks for your help, ladies ... You are the bestest!!!!
I'm not sure about stamp companies making donations, but I bet you might get some interest in us crafters here who would love to purge some of their stash. I know I'm always on the look out for organization who might like free stuff. Just a thought.
Lynn.. I had one nice lady PM me .... It wasn't my intention for individuals to donate, but I would gladly accept stamps ... maybe some whimsical/kid friendly ones for the cards for the Ronald McD house ... It's usually parents looking to send cards to other children while they are away with a sick kiddo. I cannot help in that department. I have mostly floral/nature stamps.
I've got paper covered (both designed and plain) and they don't do much with "bling".
This is truly an awesome community!!!! I knew she would get some help!!

I would be willing to send some stuff.
can you pm the address to me?
Yes, just stamps ... I have given her a TON of paper and other stuff that I needed to get rid of ... she keeps it pretty simple tho and not a lot of bling and such so they are easily mailed and following the Operation Write Home guidelines.
Well, I FINALLY got to pass along the donations to my friend's friend. All I can say is that she was so taken aback by the generosity of you ladies. I had a rolling case to give her and another stamping friend of mine had one as well. I filled up both cases for her. She cannot wait to designing the cards for each group. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart. You all have made someone extremely happy!!!
She said she sent her last box to OWH. She is looking into a few nursing homes in the area. She has a few already where the cards are used FOR the patients and BY the patients only. I love that idea!! I am sure she will fill the OWH void quickly!!!
I got to attend a card making session with the lady we donated to. She was working with a group of ladies at a church near me and I stopped by to drop off some holiday cards for her causes. Just wanted to let you all know that she is giving all of your donations some much need love with her groups!!! Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart (and hers) for your thoughtfulness!!!!
