It seems back in the beginning of September, I stopped getting their weekly e-mailed flier which also gave a coupon at that time. I re-signed up for the weekly flier/coupon and I got the e-mailed flier today, but it doesn't have any coupon with it.
Is this what everyone else is now getting as well?

I got coupons for a while, now just the flyer. One week the flyer did have a coupon included - it was a week that they didn't run a flyer in the local paper.
Anyone in the know - does Michael's not send e-mailed coupons when they have a flyer in the paper? I know I can always find them here, but any idea why they would have stopped coming via e-mail?
I get Michaels weekly e-mail flyer but it rarely ever has a coupon in it! I asked about it in the store but they didn't know why I didn't get coupons too.

I thought they were going exclusively to email ad/coupon and the last two or three weeks there has been an actual flyer in my sunday paper  and I haven't received any emails from them.
I have to wonder if it has anything to do with the promotion they had way back in what, April maybe, about joining a rewards card program and you would get 40% off an item whenever you went in there, etc. There were different versions of this reward card program and various people reported different amounts they were being charged to join it.

I get the e-mail flyer regularly, but never a coupon. There is even a place in the lower left hand corner to click on for coupon, but when I click on that, it just goes to the ad. I live about 30 minutes from 3 different Michael's stores, but they almost never include the coupon in my Sunday paper.
I'm so glad you posted this! I get their weekly emails with the flyer but no - never a copon. When they first started to do the emails there was always a coupon. I have googled other companies and found some online coupons. When I tried earlier today for Michael's all I found were expired. I suppose their cutting back on coupons to increase profit but all their doing is making me go to Hobby Lobby which has stuff I like better anyway.
I've been getting the Michaels weekly email for well over a year, and only once have I received a coupon via email (and that was a "preferred customer" thing separate from the weekly ad). Otherwise it's always been the ad only. I can get the ad (with coupon) in the Sunday paper most of the time, so I usually end up deleting the email ad without even looking at it.
My mother, however, receives a coupon in her Michaels email practically every week! And she receives postcard coupons in the mail periodically. All of these started after she got something custom framed at our local Michaels. And you know what, she couldn't care less! She hardly ever shops at Michaels. LOL! (She lets me use the coupon if I need it.)
I haven't been to Michaels in about a month, but for a while this summer my receipt always included a coupon for the following week. The coupon was usually for 40% off one item. I thought that was OK--at least they were rewarding people who already shop there.

got the initial welcome e-mail with a coupon and have never received even an ad since. I mentioned it in the store and they told me to fill out the thing in the store, which I did, and still have never gotten a thing from them. Sometimes we have a flyer in our paper and sometimes not. Sometimes they print a coupon with my receipt and sometimes not. If I don't have a coupon, I don't go there (not that my puny amount of business would hurt them any).
My emails don't have a coupon either. I get the emails maybe every other week or so. I don't get the newspaper, so I don't ever really get a coupon for M's. I also rarely shop there.
There is an ACMoore right across the street from M's, and they send weekly coupons, so guess where I shop?
The coupons often are linked on another page... you have to click a button on the flyer that says "Get Coupons" or "Go To Coupons".... also check your spam folder, because mine end up there all the time.

I've done these suggestions. As far as going to "get coupons," all it ever does is bring me to a page to sign up for weekly e-mail delivery.

Yes - I am getting an email with a link to the coupons. I haven't tracked it, but if not every week, then close to it. I believe the subject line is always "find out what is new at Michaels and print coupons".
You have to create a user account and sign up for their newsletter (this was a new newsletter a couple of months ago) to get them. This is different than signing up to get the weekly ad via email. When you sign up you will immediately get a 50% off coupon good for a couple of weeks, then the weekly newsletter after that with link to the coupons. I believe they have done it this way to limit the number of times you can use the link and print.... so make sure you print multiples when you are there the first time, because later the link won't work. The link is always towards the top and says "make your own sale". Here's the link I got on 10/10 http://mic.michaels.com/20091006Week...no=03766397388
But if you don't want to clutter up your inbox with all those emails...
...and you still want the coupons...
...Then go to this site every week to get all the coupons in one place! That's Michaels, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Roberts, JoAnn's, and Archiver's, plus an occasional bonus one from somewhere else.
I have it bookmarked and whenever I head to one of them, I print out a bunch of coupons.
