Default Smacking acetate

I've seen the term smacking acetate several times, but I am unable to find a tutorial or directions here or elsewhere on the net. Anyone able to lead me in the right direction.

TIA

That was demonstrated at the Atlanta regionals. Basically, you paint with markers on a piece of acetate. (She did a bit of Summer Sun in the upper left corner, two different blues across the middle, and some Creamy Caramel, then Cameo Coral across the bottom.)
Then she spritzed it with water, pressed US white CS on top and "smacked" it with her finger tips several times.
She took that background and used the little girl from Summer by the Sea and stamped her in Basic Black, used a round stamp from Basic Shapes and put a "sun" on the yellow spot...It looked like the little girl was looking into the sun. It turned out great.
I hope that helps!

I have two sets of directions for Smakin' Acetate:

1. Using dye based ink refills apply in small dots on your acetate. Gently smoosh the colors around and then smack onto your white glossy cardstock.

2.Take a piece of acetate and color it with various colors using waterbased pens. Spritz the acetate with water just a bit. Immediately smack the colored side of your acetate down on white glossy cardstock.
You can use the acetate again by cleaning it off with your stamp cleaner.

Don't know if that helps, but those our the directions I have.

Good luck,
Katy
