Oh, my. I get too excited sometimes! I feel like a kid sometimes like when I get stamp stuff in the mail. Anyway, I was wondering what sets everyone liked from the new spring mini catalog?
I love Alphabits and I think I would use it all the time! I also thought Balmy Breezes, The Art of Life and Forest Friends were all good too.
I wasn't crazy over the spring mini at all. Although I did come up with a $50 order from it. THAT'S IT!!!! I'm getting
Wonderful Words
Alphabits
Cool Jumbo Wheel
and the 2 punches.
The one in the front of the book is kinda nice (Never ending joy) But I doubt I would ever buy it. I'm sure if a friend of mine bought it, I would probably borrow for a day and make a couple cards. But that's it. Other that that, I don't like anything else (well except the hostess appreciation set) So we'll have to see if I even earn it.
Pam

I already ordered Rip & Shred yesterday because my DH likes that set too, but I am also planning on getting:
- Wonderful Words II (I don't have I yet, but now I have to get that one too )
- Cool Cat with the Cool Jumbo Wheel
- Alphabits with the 1/4" Square & 1/4" Circle Punches
- Winged Things and the Wings & Things Wheel
- Drawing on Nature
When I first looked through the mini I wasn't crazy about it, but then I took a good look at the samples and and realized how cool some of these sets really are !!!
The new punches are a 1/4" sized square and a 1/4" sized circle. They are small thumb punches that are perfect for punching out the letters in the Alphabits set (TOO CUTE) !!!
Can't wait for March to start ordering!!
Easter set - can't remember the name.
Alphabits with the 1/4" Square & 1/4" Circle Punches
Winged Things and the Wings & Things Wheel
Drawing on Nature
Balmy Breezes
The fruit set with the pear, apple etc
The Jumbo Flower wheel
Iv'e seen my demo's book and she's placed her order for more catalogs - it's like Christmas all over again!!
I too got a sneak peek at the SU website and I gotta say my favorite was the DD Fruits (can't remember the whole name) My mine is reeling with possibilities.
But, of course, I will have to get the newest edition of Wonderful Words, and the Easter set, and the mini Alphabet set with the new punches and and and....
I particularly like the WWII. I like Cool Cat until I saw a sample and the cat really isn't that big and am not sure I would use the others that come with it. Will have to see some more samples. Forest Friedns, Wigned Things and Draw on Nature are still in the question-mark column.
I'm glad someone posted yesterday morning about the "mistake" SU made in posting it.
drawing on nature (not sure on this one)
debating on the easter one
alphabits
balmy breezes
fresh fruits
forest friends
watermill
looks like I'll be having a party in March Can't wait to see what the 50% off sets are. I already know I *have* to have the one SU gave demos for Christmas!
I like Alphabits the best!! I really like Life Cycles, too. I have a toddler and can see many uses for that!! I also LOVE the snail stamp in Winged Things. The snail is too cute!!!! And I must have the punches - already placed my pre-order!!
I just have to say, though, I REALLY want to earn the hostess appreciation set "The Art of Life" - I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!! What do you all think?
I like the HA set and am thinking about Life Cycles. It's not likely I'll be able to get the HA set though because I just hosted a workshop. I was looking forward to Wonderful Words II but don't like it as much as WW. The words don't look as pretty to me. Am I the only one?
I like the new Wonderful Words 2 as well as the Wings and Things. I may also try out the alphabits with the punches. I would like to try them out first though. I'm not sure if I can be bothered with gluing on little letters. We are expecting baby # 5 so time will be a little limited.
If you go to the history section of your Internet Explorer, you can still pull up most of the sites from there. I went back and printed out most of the sets this morning for reference as I am not a demo and won't have a catalogue for a while.
Julia S - I just want to say thank you for letting us know to go in our history. I too got a sneak peak yesterday and then it was gone. But I did have it in my history so now I can look all month and figure out all the great sets I am going to buy.
The circle and square punches definitely. Alphabits and Wonderful Words II. Fresh Fruits and Balmy Breezes are a definite maybe (and I've never been to Hawaii). I like the Art of Life hostess set also, however putting in a $400 order before the new catalog comes out is probably not a good idea.
The spring-mini catalog has such a great selection of beautiful sets. I had a tough deciding which ones to place on my wish list. My most favorite one thoug at this time is "Never Ending Joy". I must admit though that I also want "Wonderful Words II, Over the top, alnd " When I grow up". I know that I can use " When I grow up " for a lot of different projects, specially scrapbooking pages and party invitations. I can't wait to get these new sets into my hands.
I've never made an Easter card before, but I LOVE Never Ending Joy for the saying and the tulips, I can't wait to get the set. I also ordered WWII, that's a must have and I sure hope it's in the catty next year!
I also can't wait to earn the hostess set, it's too pretty!
I have to say I really wasn't too impressed with the Spring Mini. I think I will definitely order the Alphabits and punches because the sizes of the letters will be perfect for cards. (I find that most of the alpha stamp sets are too big on a little card, so this will be awesome)
I love Wonderful Words, so I was excited that they're coming out with a new set, but the more I thought about it, I'm really not sure how often I'll ever use the words in the set.
Oh, and the hostess set is nice too, but I'm mostly just a hobby demo, so I doubt I'll sell enough to earn it.
I feel like the lone dissenter, but I rarely like most of the things in the mini catalogs. (Except the holiday mini this year - I loved that one!)

Im not sure if you all know this, but I can see the spring mini if I go to the demo section, then to Product Information, then click on mini catalogs. The spring mini link is at the top of the screen. I wonder where my catalog is...postman!!!!

I have to get Rip and Shred. My DH has been mountain biking for a few years, and now my DS has started too! This set will come in handy for scrapbook pages - even if it doesn't make the next catty. I also want the new punches (they will be in the next catty) and I'm debating on the Alphabits, Life Cycles, and DD Fresh Fruits. I need to decide what I will pre-order and get it sent in!
Hostess Appreciation set (Absolute fav.)
Balmy Breezes (Of course I'll get that for Hawaii pics)
When I Grow Up
Cool Cat (I'm not even a cat person) and Jumbo wheel
Fresh Fruits
Here's a little blond humor about the spring mini... Can't beleive that I am admitting to this?? When reading the posts about everybodies favorites I kept seeing the referrence to the WWII set. Now I am not all THAT old, but I still couldn't help but think???? I didn't see any world war II sets?? went back to my catalogue that I have stashed in my desk at work and low and behold there was the set that I had to have. WWII... that would be "wonderful words II!! " So just to clear things up for any fellow blondes that may be looking for some vintage stamp sets from world war II... don't look in the spring mini for them! LOL...
OBTW... my wish list from spring mini is about $158 dollars. Soooo I have to do some saving up to continue to support my habit!
Have a chuckle on me! Or just feel sorry for me that I am that DUMB!
I have ordered Cool Cat and the wheel that goes with it. My daughter is so into cats. I have an old Occupied Japan cat that looks just like this. But I have never seen a stamp set that I could not use for something or another...
