Default stamping on e-reader cover

Has anyone stamped on their nook or e-reader cover? I was looking at a nook cover today that is canvas with a coating on it. It is cream colored and has page 13 from Alice in wonderland on the cover. I thought it would look great if i stamped my alice stamps and some background stamps on it and used the print as a background.
Just wondering if anyone has done it and how it worked.
I imagine I will need to use stazon but I am not that crazy about the color choices. Is there another permanent ink?
thank you

Su - I imagine any pigment ink would work, but will probably have to be heat set. Run a Google search to see the wide range of colors available from all sorts of companies. Not sure you'd want to spend that much money to stamp one e-reader cover, tho. (Time to think up as many future projects as possible to justify the expense!!) I suppose you could go with something like SU's craft ink spots? They're a little cheaper than a full-size stamp pad, but it's pigment-based. See what google gets you first, tho.

I have the SU's craft inks. I am not sure they would stay on this fabric. It is coated - kind of plasticy, maybe like an oil cloth you stencil and put on the floor if you know what that is.

what other brand is like stazon?

When I built my Pinewood Derby car this year, I borrowed a star stamp image from my collection. I knew none of my ink would stay on the glossy paint, so I stamped the stars with VersaMark, outlined them with a fine-tip permanent Bic marker, and painted over the whole mess with acrylic model paint (the tiny little glass jars). The Bic marker rubbed right off, but it stayed there long enough for me to paint my stars with the paint...

Give your Craft ink a shot and see what happens. If heat-setting it won't dry it, you can clean it off: douse the area with StazOn cleaner and wipe it away and start over again. I've been known to do that before.

I know the model paint should work fine, but I don't know if that's the direction you want to go.

I'd try the stazon.... Just make sure the pad is not too dry. You want the ink to "get into" the texture/fabric. Try a piece of tight woven burlap or something textured first. Worst case scenario you can attach something over the botched stamped image.

Just my 2 cents

It's funny you mention this. I just got a Nook and have a "pleather" cover for it in blue. I was thinking of stamping something on mine using Staz On.

ok i rubbed a little SU craft ink on the back of the cover and heat set it. It isn't rubbing off. Now i have to make a mock up so I don't mess it up. I will definitely post it. iN the meantime my nook is getting cold with no cover
