Default Stand for card photography

What are those round thingies with bristles called--the thing people use to stand their cards on when they take photos???? See example here. They look antique.

TIA!

so they're not antique? Are they what you put on the bottom of floral arrangements to hold stems in place? Thanks!

I think that some of them are probably antiques, but you can still get newer ones at any floral place. And yes they are used to hold flower in place in arrangements.

"flower frogs"

also try yard sales people practically give them away if you have your heart set on an antique one... or like if there is a hospic type store selling second hand things places like that get them in as donations alot too.

but, you can buy a brand new one in any floral craft dept.

I keep one on my desk at work to put peoples business cards into before i file them and such.

I just created my own photo box, and it works great! All I did was line a cardboard box with off-white cs. When I photograph a card, I turn the box on its side, place the card near the front edge, shoot and crop the card before posting. When possible, I face the card toward the window for natural lighting.
