Ladies....I have a question for all of you. When you complete a card for a challenge do you send it off to someone (share it) or do you old on to it for some odd reason (stash it). I never know what to do with mine, so I send or stash is always the question.
I sell my cards, so normally I end up with nothing (although I do scan most of them). But I'm thinking it would be great to have samples on hand, so from now on, every time I make a card, I'm making a double.
I like to make a double . . . I have fun flipping through cards I've made in the past. And, my clients enjoy it, too. When I start a challenge, I try to have someone in mind that I am making the card for . . . it really helps me get my creative thinking cap on. It's always easier for me to create with a purpose.
My house it WAY to cluttered already. I try to send the cards out to friends. If I don't use them up I eventually send a package to one of gals who needs cards for military troops.
I don't need "real life" samples. I scan everything into my computer. And if I want to copy something, I am usually NOT going to copy my own work. I look here on Splitcoast and get a new idea from one of you wonderful artists.
I've been stashing them mostly. I hate parting with ideas even though I have pictures of the cards I created. I know, it doesn't make sense. Although just this week I started sending those stashed cards out. How else am I gonna get other people hooked on this hobby unless I show them what I do, right? ;-)
I either give them away as occasions arise, or I sell them. Last night I took a basket of cards to a small ladies get together where some other gals had some of their handmade things sitting around; we all had some Christmas goodies, chatted and laughed. I sold 28.oo worth of cards.
1st I stash & then I share. I give them as gifts to kids teachers, Sunday School teachers, piano teachers, hubby's admin, etc. Everyone loves them and later tells me that there supply is gone. I take that as a hint that I can give them more for the next occassion!
I do both as well too. Although I have a tendency to stash more. Once in a while I will not have time to make a card so I find one that I have already made in a class or swap.

Ideally, I like to make doubles. To have one and give one. Lately, I have been so busy that I just make what I need then have to refigure the card later when I need another one!
I do both. I've made cards specifically with someone in mind, but I also have a PILE of cards that I haven't sent out. Some of the stash pile becomes the send pile, so hopefully I won't drown in cards one day.
I colour copy all my cards (at 50%) and put them in a catalogue. Then I send my cards. This way I know what that card looked like and if I need measurements to remake the card I only have to measure and double.
