I remember this thread being a don't-read-while-drinking-coffee thread last year, what with all the short-wearing Santas and poopin' giraffes (and elephants that stepped it in).
pg 62...what is in that gift basket? Burnt sugar cookies? Pita bread?
pg 66... stamped with dill and oregano? Are they supposed to be garden markers after dinner?
pg 75...Friends Fur-ever: first of all, why not a corgi? ;) Second of all, what is up with the upright scottie? Is he going to sit in the chair and take some tea? Could they not figure out how to make him either (a) sit like a real dog or (b) beg?
pg 115...homegrown: Was there a big customer demand for a beet stamp? Or is it a turnip?
"pg 66... stamped with dill and oregano? Are they supposed to be garden markers after dinner?"
 Wondering about that one...
And p. 61: the notation for the Totally Tool sample: "A handy stamper never goes anywhere without her essential tools - stamps, ink, and paper." Don't see any of those in the tool belt!
Can't wait to read more of these!

Funny! Maybe someone's a Dwight fan (beet farmer) from The Office! Actually that set is on my list...I LIKE it! It's different from anything else I have.
I was wondering who decided to add crinkled paper Christmas stockings, pg. 30-31? Not so pretty, IMO. And does anyone else think that the Dad in To A Classic, pg. 50, looks like a little kid with a tie on?
I think the Scottie in Friends Fur-ever, pg.75, is totally cute! But I also wondered about the dog sitting up. At first I thought maybe he's painting that heart valentine...but that is backwards from him. Strange!

"Hey kids, look what Santa brought--some stocking made with leftover paper found in the trash!"
Maybe they were trying to go for the just-outta-high-school-and-working-at-my-dad's-dealership car salesman look for the guy in To A Classic

I thought the same thing about him painting the valentine, too!
And looks like I'm in the minority of questioning the need for beet and artichoke stamps!
<-----------------------------Was just wondering what who and why the heck a person would send Homegrown Caard to??????
But - I do like long fellows.
Victoria - I respect your right to like Homegrown
Maybe it's for a farmer or a hippie chicK on an vegatarian diet, or those eating all of their food grown within 10 miles .

I have a few folks in my world who like gardening, Farmer's Markets, etc. where it would make a cute notecard set.
Cute ---but no question, fairly limited.
I LOVE the Homegrown set!! I think this card would be great for anyone who gardens (or used to), likes veggies, or likes nature in general.
Also love Countryside. My parents have water pumps like that at their house, so I grew up playing with them! LOVE!!!
Is it just me, or do some of the new sets look like old sets, or individual stamps from old sets??
=========
Yes---the hostess set hydrangea? Looks just like the individual one from a few years back.
The truck with apples looks just like the Father's Day set from recent---only the truck is the back now, not the front.
ALL the flower sets look like something from the past (I don't fault them----flowers are flowers!) Ha! DONE buying flower sets though---I need some different things!!!
I can't believe you would turnip your nose at a veggie set. And that ain't no artichoke.
PS. I do garden, grow herbs and veggies...no Shanon not "herb" and love me some farmer's market. Would totally be a locovore if I had the money to support that habit.

I found 3 "I really really want sets and a roller"
Gifted
Cross Of Hope
Happiness Shared
and the Baby Tee Roller
I did like the layout of the catty. But the prices are a bit WOW since I have not been really buying much SU. $3.50 a Marker and the carstock is getting up there.
I still will wait for club in August and see what they all look like IRL
Bet I like a few of those new colors....

I'm laughing myself silly!! Well, my 20 year old son used to be a vegetarian. And my DH is
a health nut!! Herbs? You go girl! Isn't Rubber necker putting out a bunch of artistic WEED sets for you?8-)
What about that dreadful In The Wilderness Set? Who the heck is a person going to send a stamp of a wolf or a bison too? Okay - maybe the bald eagle for you - but that's not my kinda set!!!!

OK seriously we have bison at our local zoo and I love that stamp. Don't think I'd get it but if you were scrapbooking that or a trip to Wyoming I could see using it

I like:
- the Owl punch (although the owl theme has probably peaked)
- the chair stamp set (but I'm not sure how much I would use it)
- the stamp set with the mushrooms in it was cute
- the Broadsheet alphabet is gorgeous
- the 72 button packages look like I'd use them quite a bit
- the Ronald McDonald set looked like it would be quite useful
- loved the onesie wheel

I love Happiness Shared on page 100, can't wait to get that set.
Maybe she approved this one AFTER the martini lunch?
I think after the martini lunch on a Friday before a three-day weekend.
"Hey gals! I stamp this think is great! Oh, look, I threw the toothpicks down from all my olives and looky at the cool design! Let's make that into a stamp, too! What do you mean, it has nothing to do with the rest of the set, I said put it in there!!"
Then Tuesday morning comes: "Oh, what was I thinking?! Goodness, make sure you don't put a Shelli heart by that one!!!"
It just brings up so many questions..
For what car is the kid with a tie giving the keys? The smashed up one or the retro go-carty one?
And wait, why are we wishing someone a "speedy recovery" with a busted up car? "Make sure you have a speedy recovery so you can crash head-on into the next illness!!"

Ok, thanks, I had tried to put that bison out of my head, what with his, um, "man tuft" of fur and all.

You see what sort of puns we've been reduced to with this set!?!

Does anyone know what the round thing on the left hand side is meant to be?

It's my kind of set, one of the first I'll be ordering. Tons of potential cards for the men in my life. The wolf is gorgeous, the best I've seen SU put out.

Enjoy it!! The men in my life would be perplexed if I sent them one of those images !!! Not my style - nor the guys in my life.
I noticed the "man tuft" also and I was so turned off by it, lol ... I definitely wont be buying this set.
LOL!!!!! OMG didn't notice until you all mentioned it!! I would definitely be using my craft and rubber scissors to give that stamp a "trim" before using it, LOL!!!!
