Whoops--not so fast! Detail powder is best for images with fine lines because the regular powder spreads a bit when it melts and you lose some of the detail of the image. However, that tiny bit of spreading also makes for a better embossed image on thick lines or solid images. I have both, and use both, depending on the particular image I want to emboss. If you can only get one right now, decide what images you really want to emboss, and get the powder that will do the best job. Then get the other powder when you can. (It's not expensive, and a jar will last forever!)
