I'm toying with several different ideas on going unmounted, but I love being able to store them in CD cases. I also want the sticker on the back of my rubber/foam.
The ease of the TnP sounds convenient, but then how do you store the unsticky rubber?
Has anybody used TnP on the block and stored in CD cases painted with TIO&O?
So far Aleene's seems to be my best option, but wanted to see how YOU store them when you use TnP on the block as I couldn't find an answer in the 50000 threads I read on unmounting, lol.
I use TnP on my blocks and store my 'bare' rubber in CD cases. I also have some HALOS (velcro) blocks & velcro on the rubber. I also have EZMount on some of my stamps. Store ALL of my unmounted stamps in CD cases (415 so far). HTH
It doesn't stick on the CD case but fits in there nicely. If you really want it to stick you could use a strip of double sided adhesive tape on the case.
Hope this helps. I love my stamps being unmounted!

I do something that might seem backwards to some - but works great for me. I coat one side of the CD case (inside) with Aileen's Tacky Glue. Then the UM rubber sticks to it. Works great for me
I will put bare rubber as well as EZ mount into the CD cases, but sometimes the littlest bare rubber ones can migrate over to that gap between the front and back of the case and slip out. Doesn't happen too often but it'd be nice to know they are all safe & sound

What a great idea!
I also like my unmounted SU stamps with the sticker on the foam side. Initially I used the TIO&O (diluted!) to paint all the stickers so they'd stick in the CD case. For these, I didn't need T&P...they would just stick to the acrylic block. (I really like this method) Then got lazy (it is time consuming) and just put the UM stamps in a CD case, but they do fall out/shuffle when I open the case...those are the ones I use on my one block w/ T&P...OR I use a few small pieces of double stick Scotch tape on a block w/out T&P to hold the stamp..works fine.
BUT, I really love the idea of having the stamps stick to the case! Going to try that Tacky Glue!
This is very interesting.. I like the idea of tack and peel but I use binders with storage panels to store my unmounteds with tack it over on. So if I were to use the tack and peel on blocks I would need to find a way to stick the stamps to the panels.. hmmmm
NOW my question is - I would love to have an image on the back of the UM rubber stamp. What would be the best way to attach a stamped image so that it would stick to the Tacky Glue in the CD case and also stick to the Tack n Peel on the acrylic mount - without pulling off? I hope I phrased that correctly.
I think I've decided to stick with the TIO&O on the back of the stamp instead of the tack n peel.
I haven't had a problem with the sticker pulling off the back with the TIO&O on it, and to me I'd rather have the sticker and do a little extra work to use the stamps!
I cut a sheet protector in half. Side a half sheet of card stock in it. Stamp the stamp image on both sides. Then I use TIO&O on the rubber. Stick it to the outside of back of the page protector so I can put the stamp back in the right place and know I have it. The front side is for me to know which ones are on that card. Keep the cards in a basket right now as I don't have but a few umnmounteds. I group them according to subjects : Christmas, Halloween, Friendship, Beach, Ocean, etc. When I get them all mounted, I'll alphabetize them by subject. The reason I use sheet protectors is because I could get more stamps on them than in a CD, didn't have to worry about them fallling out. They rip right off of the stamp protector.

I use tnp on my blocks. I found the best way to store my bare rubber stamps is in plain white envelopes with the image stamped on the front. I put a card inside the envelope and write the name, item number and manufacturer of the stamp on it. I slip the stamps inside the card so they don't fall out. I file them in a clear shoe box by type. I don't have a lot of space to work with and I have hundreds of stamps, so this is the cheapest and easiest way I have found to store them. I was able to take two full shelves of stamps and condense them down into one shoe box by doing this. I find I really like using them unmounted as I can run them under the faucet to clean them.

I do very similar. I put mine onto transparencies and then slide the transparency into a page protector with a stamped piece of cardstock. I photocopy a 'reverse image' onto the other side so that it matches the way the stamps fit on. Then the whole thing goes into a (soon to be zipped) binder.
