Hi, I saw a great masculine card made on a YouTube video the date posted was Sept 2015, and the demonstrator said she used a Sizzix embossing folder called Woodland, it looks like a stand of birch trees. She didn't say where the embossing folder could be purchased so I went to Sizzix, Amazon and Ebay and couldn't find anything. I did try to contact her but got no response. I'm thinking it may be a retired, if anyone knows where I could look next I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for any help you can give me. Marge
WOW Bugga , that was fast, Thank you. But darn it I don't think it'll fit thru my cuttlebug. I don't have a Big Shot. But again thanks for the fast reply. Marge
I noticed on another thread here that the Woodland folder by SU is on backorder for over 9000 of them. So one of these others would sure be a good alternative. Especially since the SU one won't fit the Cuttlebug!

Boy you're fast, I did measure the platform for my Cuttlebug and it would fit but there's no way I'm paying $22 or more for one folder. So guess I'll go with the Cuttlebug version. It's waaaaaaay cheaper. Thanks again for your help. Marge
$22 and maybe more for something that's $8.50 in the catalogue and still current (even if on back order), some people must want it very badly. I certainly wouldn't pay that much over the odds.
Hi, Yes the Woodland is a Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Embossing Folder available in the current Holiday Catalog available here: Holiday 2015. A direct link to the Woodland folder is here: Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up!
You will notice that the current price is $8.50. Please always check any current Stampin' Up! item you find on Ebay in a current catalog. You will usually see a price different. Your decision. You can also order online and even find a demonstrator in your area who I'm sure will be happy to assist as well as any long distance demonstrator.
I agree with what's been said about ordering direct from an SU demo, but I saw on another thread that this particular folder is backordered to the tune of 9,000, so it might take a while to get it!

I have the Darice EF and it's really nice – may not be as large or detailed as the SU one, but somebody online somewhere (Consumer Crafts?) has Darice embossing folders on sale for $2 right now! Not sure if this one is included in the sale but it might be worth checking out. Here's a card I made with it:
I got the Woodland bundle from SU - a stamp set and the embossing folder - wonderful to use together and you save money getting the bundle (enable enable bwahahaha).....

BOY, some people really got scammed if you ask me. I placed an order with my SU consultant for the Woodland Textured Impressions folder and a stamp set I figured I'd wait out the back order. Well this morning I received a conformation message from SU that my order has been shipped. So instead of paying some shister $26.27 I'm getting mine for $8.50. There isn't anything I want or need that I'd be willing to may more than 3 times the amount. I'm going back to ebay and see if I can find the name of the company or person who pulled off this scam and will never do any business with them that's for sure. Marge
That is a problem on ebay. People do sell for more than current pricing. I dont get it-seems to me anyone can google the company and price check. This happens with House mouse all the time too as well as other companies. Sometimes I wonder if the seller has a clue.
I have brought it up more than once on the Newbie board there. Not much else I can do. People can sell/buy at whatever prices.

Just a note, this folder DOES fit the cuttlebug.
No need for a big shot
This folder is a 6x6.
My cuttlebug will not take a 6x6 anything. I measured my cuttlebug and the width is 5.75.
I would suggest for people to measure their cuttlebug BEFORE purchasing any 6x6 folder.
My cuttlebug is at least 8 years old, maybe a newer modle has a wider opening.

Leslie, you made me curious, so I just measured my old, green, original Cuttlebug. It's the first version that was sold in the stores years ago.
The opening measures exactly 6", and also the A, B & C plates measure exactly 6".
I have a couple of newer CB folders that are 5", and a no-name folder that is 5-1/4", and of course, they both go through fine.
I don't have any folders that are 6", so can't speak to that size. They might squeeze through, but it would be a tight fit in my Bug.
My cuttlebug is at least 8 years old, and I have replaced the B plates numerous times. Last time about 8 months ago.
My original C plate is 5.75 and my new B plates fit perfectly on to at 5.75 inches.
In another thread I was talking in, can't remember which one at this time, a few people did state they had 6x6 Cuttlebug opening and a few stated 5.75 opening.
After my bread machine finished kneading dough, I will go measure for the third time:p

Ok went and measured again. Oh I have the original A plate not C plate.
Anyway all my plates and the opening to my cuttlebug measure 5 and 7/8. Just a tad short so nothing measuring 6x6 is going through my cuttlebug.

It was just irritating me about not able to use 6x6 embosing folders, because I really really like this woodland embossing folder.
So I got down to eye level of the opening. As I was embossing and saw the plates going through, I saw some wiggle room.
So it looks like my opening actually maybe 6x6.
But with the plates only being 5 7/8 I don't think this little bit left over will get embossed.
But I am willing to take a chance now. Think I will order the embossing folder tomorrow at stamp class.
I will come back to this thread after I receive the folder and let you know how it worked out.
Crossing Fingers!

Leslie, in the meantime, while you wait for your folder...Cut a piece of heavy chipboard 6" x 6" and put it on your CB plates and see how it goes through. Just to give you an idea of how it will fit.
Also, you could use one of your regular folders and a piece of cardstock, put it clear to the outside edge, and roll it through, to see if the part really near the edge will emboss.

A little off topic, but Consumer Crafts has a $2 sale on all their Darice embossing folders. I saw a birch tree one but it comes with a deer in the middle lol. Sale is on till tomorrow.
The folder has a price of 8.50 but if that's all you order your actual cost will be closer to $16 due to shipping and sales tax.
It would be a club order which is 10% s&h which would be .85.
Plus my tax is 7.6% which would be and add'l .71.
Total would be $10.06. I am just thinking about it.
For a folder priced at $8.50 your s&h and tax must be very high to come to a total of $16.00 for this folder.

Isn't shipping $6.95, unless your order is more than $75? The shipping is high for one item, so that does prevent me from ordering often…
For the past year I have been going to a monthly stamp club meeting. Ten ladies place orders every month and rotate been hostess with benefits.
I have placed orders anywhere from $20 to $60. Every single order was 10% shipping/Handling fee.
$6.95 is charged when you place a single order not associated with a club order.

I've seen Meetup groups come together with the rotating Hostess benefits. Interesting concept. I remember there was a $25 per month commitment needed from at least 5 or 6 women. At the time I didn't understand how it worked. Now I see the benefit of it.

For those of you who question the fit of new 6"x6" embossing folders, how about cutting a 6"X6" card stock then see if it rolls through your machine without disturbance/wrinkling. No harm to the machine if the C/S crimps, and a better idea of whether or not it will work. ;)
Tomorrow I will try putting through some 6x6 paper. Oh and I past on ordering the folder today.

Here's a sizing forum thread on what fits and what does not
I wanted to find out this same sort of things on what fits and what does not fit a couple of months ago and then decided to make a thread on it- here it is...
And in a nutshell- the Sizzix brand (SU! or otherwise) 6x6 EBFs are NOT true 6x6!! but 6 x 5.75"!! yay. AND I just tested the "6x6" EBFs by We R Memory Keepers (they too have a trees embossing folder) and it fit perfectly.
The best thing I got from posting the thread a while back- is that a couple of other SCS wonderful folks added in and reminded me that Cuttlebug can take the fat sizzix (BigZ) and that I figured out how to cut with small framelit dies on a Boutique for friend who has no room for anything bigger.
Hope this helps!

I think the sellers are very well clued in. They know that there are some desperate, keep-up-with-the-Joneses crafters that will pay big bucks to get something retired and/or out of stock. And they know there are other buyers who shop impulsively, not thinking to check prices. All the seller needs is one sucker to take the bait and the seller has made a tidy profit.
OK, I finally received my SU embossing folder and it does go thru my Cuttlebug just barely but it went thru and I love it. Thanks to everyone who replied and helped me with this.
