Can someone tell me what this place is.
From what I've seen on here they have some
free templates, but where do I get them?
I am from Canada and I have never heard
of this place, nor have I found the "free" templates.
Do you mean the store? OMG it is the best store ever and I wish they would open in Dallas. There is one in Austin and one in Houston but not Dallas yet. I think they are out of Michigan (?) but they are the most complete stamp and scrap store ever. I guess it is a good thing they aren't here. I'd be broke.
Archiver's is a big stamp/scrapbook store. They have a lot of neat products and hold classes, etc.
Here is a link to their website: http://www.archiversonline.com/
I think the templates you are looking for might be under IDEAS.
Archivers is a chain store here in the States. I just moved from Canada so was wondering what it was too. They carry a lot of scrapbook supplies as well as rubber stamp stuff. I don't believe that they let you order on line, but you can check!

Ditto that! I have to drive to Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA to get to one. About three hours, but the store is awesome!
I have seen so many people on here rave about Archiver's and I used to think Archiver's was the greatest too...but you really aren't missing out unless you are going to do all their classes. Those are nice...and worth it, however their prices are high and selection is poor. We have them all over here (St Paul/Mpls Area) and when I first began stamping it was great because I needed many basics. But as I got into it more, I found that they carry only parts of a line (like Cosmo Cricket) and leave you wishing you could find the other papers, etc. Same with tools, they do have most of the major items, but no Cuttlebug or Cricut supplies, only Quickutz, and even those are VERY limited. Their by-the-yard ribbon keeps expanding, but there is nothing new? They do have a decent selection of Scrap Albums, however I have purchased the Chatterbox ones (my favorites) online for HALF of their price including shipping.
I am still very much in the habit of stopping in there, but in the past year or two, I rarely buy more than a gel pen or brads and a few odd sheets of DP....then I go home and order stuff like Dew Drops, Cosmo Kits, Nesties, Cb Folders Etc...
This is just my opinion.... I am not saying I don't like Archivers, just that it's not all it's hyped up to be.

I agree totally. Archievers doesn't have anything new. They do have some stamps that are okay. I shop mostly the independent stores and online. There is a nice shop in Hastings just south of St Paul/Mpls and she will order whatever I want and I have it in just a few days.
There is an Archiver's in Overland Park, KS, and I shop there sometimes. I get their coupons in the mail, and that makes some purchases worth it. They carry some product lines and albums I haven't seen elsewhere, and they also have bargain bins and a great clearance section (I'm all about that clearance sticker!). But I'd have to agree with the other posters - they're not the perfect store. No one place could be to all artists, though, but I'm glad to see they are expanding. Like a specialty or mom-n-pop store, they provide a product variety and level of expertise in scrapbooking and cardmaking that M's and J's can't match, while maintaining the prices of a chain store. I like to check out the website just for ideas, too.
I go to Archiever's every chance I get - - there are two in St. Louis. They carry things like Bind-It-All, Skor-Pal and JustRite Stampers, lots of clear stamps, tons of DPs. I signed up for their newsletter and get a 30% off coupon just about every month (used it for my B-I-A and Skor-Pal), plus a coupon for 5 free sheets of cardstock, often other things. They also have 25% off of adhesives every so often. I love going there. Even though it's a chain, they are much nicer than Hobby Lobby (IMO Hobby Lobby is messy and picked over).

I visit the one in Apple Valley MN fairly often to use my coupons and meet my sister there once a month for a Saturday morning sanity crop, I love using their workroom. At the same time I also agree with cjbapp. I wish they carried cuttlebug supplies and products from Spellbinders. The more I read about Copics I wish they also sold them...and the list goes on. If any of you twin city Minnesotans haven't had the chance, check out Anchor Paper in Burnsville, that place rocks!
