Lightbulb Where to buy paint cans...

Well, the title pretty much says it all but, I want to make a paint can as part of a gift for a baby shower and can't find the paint cans. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Thanks! :-D

Either Lowe's or Home Depot. They have both gallon and quart sizes.

And don't forget the paint can openers! You can tie one on with a matching ribbon.

I've also seen them at Joann's. In the one I go to, they were on top of the shelving, so you'd have to ask someone to get one down for you.

My local Lowes had a goofy kind, but I was able to find the traditional kinds at my local Menards. good luck!

I was just at the Container Store yesterday and they had lots of sizes. I have also seen them at hardware stores.

Can I just mention that I find the cheapest place to get plain paint cans is the little Mom & Pop or family run Paint stores. They usually don't "get" why we'd want them new and sell them dirt cheap! In my town they sell them at their cost because they don't get it!!

besides they're just for some 'dumb' craft project right?

This is soooo true!! You can also go to paint stores like Glidden's or Sherwin Williams and you can get them at cost. They will even order them by the case if you call ahead. The last time I got some from Glidden's it cost mw about $5 for 3 gallon size and 2 pint. You can't beat that!!
