There isn't much in our cupboards but I threw together a mix of raisins and nuts. I'll pass on the cheese and crackers but maybe after BSS we can stop at a store where I can buy hummus and chips.
I have everything packed except my clothes and toiletries. For Jammie stamping I have white, kraft, and black cardstock, the four assortment packs of Amuse cardstock, ink: black, kraft, VersaMark, and some Memento dew drops, heat tool and clear embossing powder, some acrylic blocks, Pitt Big Brush markers, and 12 Inktense pencils and water brushes.
Nancy, don't be alarmed by the number of bags I have! Two of them are door prizes and Hospice cards.

The other direction, past BBS is a A.C.Moore going out of business, lost their lease - 1581 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst, N.Y. 14228 and the Large Joann'e and Michael's are between BBS and the A C Moore. Lots to look at and lots to spend, Just wish there was a shop that wasn't a box stiore for you to explore besides BBS but Sharon's is a great store. The classes are wonderful if there is time to look. Go On Line for their (BBS) monthly coupon.

I'm STILL working my NVR.... not like all of the steps. UGH!! I may not get much sleep tonight.
Nancy, I can assemble while you drive so go to sleep now! I'm in bed trying to get sleepy. Hubby took a nap so he'll be up for awhile...Hope he doesn't wake me up. The alarm is going off early!
Safe travels, everyone! Looking forward to playing!
Nancy, what time shall I meet you at the Westmoreland exit?
I have my shoebox instructions printed and packed the door prizes. Now to check that everything is in my shoebox and start to pack my suitcase and Jammie stamping supplies. What's the weather suppose to be like in Buffalo this weekend?
Getting excited!
Light snow overnight, 42 and cloudy Saturday, 27 and cloudy sunday
I'm taking the small SUV.. hoping we have enough space...
I think I have three bags more than usual...my duffle for overnight, an additional door prize/hospice card bag, and the ArtBin tote with Jammie stamping supplies. My stuff should fit in 1/3 or less of the back. Hopefully I will bring home less stuff than I'm taking...do NOT let me replace the two bags of door prizes with two bags of BSS goodies!
Remember that registration is still open for the May 17 East Syracuse event if anyone is newly interested after today's fun event. Don't wait til the very end because Lorraine told me yesterday that she expected to have four friends sign up so we are getting close to capacity.
P.S. If someone could actually announce this during the day, I'd appreciate it. Please & thanks.
I am up also Arlene but not as early as you! Really looking forward to a wonderful day of stamping and chatting!! See everyone in a few hours!!
OH!!! Does anyone have a Certainly Celery refill I could borrow a few drops of? My ink pad will be fine but just thought a few drops couldn't hurt. If not no big deal. I can not locate mine anywhere
Just got back from Stampalooza... great swaps... great shoeboxes...
GAYLA... I forgot the gift swap you made.. I never even thought of while we were talking.. I hope Beth found you to grab it from you.... it lovely and really do like it.. its not that i didn't want it,, i just forgot to put it in my bag... too much on my old mind, i guess...
For those who made the Four Shells Squares, thank you for your patience in making the project! Sorry if they took you longer than 10 minutes to make! At least they are cute! You can put them all together in a frame or you can use them as "card candy" to embellish cards. Enjoy!

Reason: clarfication
After discussions with others over the years and not just from this gathering but many we have been to, may I make a few suggestions for next time?
1) Using QUALITY cardstock would be GREATLY appreciated!!! 80 lb. and 110 lb. cover cardstock really improves the quality of your shoebox projects and swaps. Copy paper or construction paper just isn't substantial enough to hold up well. Good cardstock like Gina K., Papertrey Ink, My Favorite Things, and Stampin Up makes stamping easier for better images and will make you like your projects even more. Scrapbook paper is OK as a layer but usually it is too thin to be a card base. This topic is ALWAYS #1 after events like this. All hosts say it every time...PLEASE USE QUALITY CARDSTOCK!!!!!
2) Most of us stampers prefer to stamp and color images ourselves. Some people were new to this event and were not sure how much they needed to do ahead of time because of the time constraints so they stamped and colored everything for us. Thank you but please let us stamp and color ourselves so we can say we truly did make it ourselves.
3) Please be sure your ink pads have plenty of ink. Some images did not stamp easily because the ink pad was too dry.
4) Please have extra pieces in your shoebox for oppsies!! I know there were a few of us who couldn't finish our cards because we had problems with certain stamps that didn't stamp easily or ink pads were drying out. Even after turning the paper over and trying on the other side we had problems but because we did not find extra paper we couldn't make a third try to finish the project.
Please take these suggestions in the positive manner in which they were meant...to make every stamping event enjoyable for everyone and to have everyone go away happy saying that all the cards/projects they made that day were great.
Remember to sign up for the East Syracuse event ASAP! There are only a few spots left and the registration deadline is March 30! Come stamp with us!!!!
