Hi Donna,
I shop at a couple of places..one is in Westford. It's called "INKABOUTIT" I think that Westford would be about 45 minutes for you..so that's still pretty far. It's a great shop though..it's all about stamping and has all different stamp companies there...like crafty secrets and AMuse, etc. There is another thread here at Splitcoast where we chat and also we're planning a get-together. Here's the link. Someone on there might know a shop closer to you Forums at Splitcoaststampers

i'd be glad to host a get together at my house or church-it's in upton just 3 miles from 495. how does a saturday in early april sound? i'm leaning towards a 10-2 time frame w/ a lunch break but if most of you would rather make it later- that's ok, too. what do you say?

I'm in Wrentham and a Saturday in April sounds great to me. I need to know what a shoebox swap is, though! Keep me posted. I would love to come to a get together.

A shoebox swap is when everyone designs a card before hand and does all the work for it. So say there are 15 people coming. You would design a card and get all the supplies ready for 15 people have everything cut to the right sizes, you would bring the stamps and ink and markers or whatever you used to make your card. Everyone will bring there own adhesive and sissors. But you will leave with a stack of cards!!

Let me know if I didn't describe it well.
Hey Laura....
If you all are getting together I would love to come too, although I am already busy the 1st weekend in April :( . I'll subscribe and maybe be able to make the date....Living in the 'BURG. Fitchburg that is...
ok! i'm seeing some interest so let's set the date! i can hostess at my church which is a straight shot 3 mi. from rte. 495 on saturday, april 19 10am til 3 pm. let's make it a shoebox swap (and laura, looks like you described it pretty well to me!) and i'm going to suggest we do EITHER a b'day, thank-you, or thinking of you card. (those are the ones i always run out of and need the most variety in.) the church should be free so the cost will be minimal. not sur how much yet but think $5-$10 each to pay for coffee and maybe donate to the church for heat. i may ask the folks at "ink about it" if the'd like to participate somehow...a mini-booth or a technique...feel free to start signing up!

As of right now I'm in Things may change since it is April vacation and we *might* be going to DC.
Anyway, can I suggest that you start a thread for just this w/ all the specifics in the first post so it doesn't get confusing and lost in the shuffle?
Did you want to start another thread? Also is there a space limit? Keep in mind that if 50 people go you need to have enough time time make 50 cards. I think 20-30 is a good #. What do you think?

I just accepted a job in Fitchburg, and I'll be moving in August! I'm so excited to see so many SCSers in the area!
