OK - for some reason I was not getting all the replies to this in my email...so to catch up....
Dougnat - a shoebox swap is where you design 1 card and prepare all the supplies/tools (which you generally pack into like a plastic shoebox thingee to bring with you) for as many people as we would get signed up. So for example - we get 10 people you cut paper and bring the stuff to make 10 of your card, as does everyone else bring enough to make 10 of their card....then we all get together on the designated day, go around the room building/creating each others cards - so then we go home with 10 different cards (and of course our remaining supplies/tools, etc in our shoebox). Make sense? OH and BTW - seeing your tag line, are you affiliated with TSP at all? I think they told me they had a Unity designer who did their card classes - but that their son was sick so they had not been there much - I was wondering if that was you??? If so SMALL WORLD....I go there OFTEN.
Robyn O - maybe I should toss it out there for something in January - weather permitting - after the holidays are through and we could do a Valentine's or Spring Themed swap??? Anyone else reading - if you're in the area - and the holidays are just to hectic to get it together anymore this year - toss out a date and we could also shoot for the New Year too?
I do have about 3-5 local women in my SU! side and upline that would like to participate as well.
If you all don't mind me asking - where are you guys from and what are your "favorite" stamps to work with <brand>. I mostly use SU, but I would LOVE to try some other stamp companies - I see so many neat things out here. I LOVE Unity Stamps too, but sadly don't own any yet!!!
