Sleep eluded me last night but I'm almost ready to leave for Jeanette's. I had asked DH to wake me up so we could have breakfast together (I made the coffee and he cooked, of course!). I won't see him until Monday evening but he gets up waaaaaay tooooo early for a sleep-deprived person and I ended up falling asleep after he left and just got out of the shower.
I'm packed but need to write out instructions and work on my name badge (my idea required painting and that part was done last night; I'm bringing an older one just in case the idea doesn't work.)
i'm packing up my bag.
heidi do you want/need my display board?
i have doorprizes packed
all swaps
nametag
chocolate rocks
directions
if you know i'm forgetting something. just post. i'll check. later. if this going to bed early doesn't work out
nancy/arlene call if you need to
as it stands now arlene is w/ nancy
call if it changes. i'll yake my house phone to bed w/me
Gayla, just talked to Nancy. No baby...only 1 centimeter. She will drive us both so be at her house just before 7 a.m. She's on her way home from dinner and will be online shortly.
Our poor Zekey girl is sick both ends! Cleaned up both boxes and the floor yesterday, this morning, and when when I got home tonight. Had to wash her bed tonight. I gave her her special tummy medicine yesterday and this morning for vomiting. Besides all the clean up I can tell she's feeling lethargic. Might need DH to take her to the vet's tomorrow.
No, Gayla, I don't think we need the display board. P.S. Thanks for asking!

This is so cool...I'm online on both my PC and my iPad at the same time!
I need to go check my craft tool tote, charge my phone, and photograph all my stuff in my shoebox so I'll remember what I'm taking with me. I have coupons for our bus load.
Gift swap is optional. No need to stress if you don't have time, Christy!
"Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped gift related to our stamping passion. We will draw for those so that everyone who brings one will also leave with one. Value on these should be about $5, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! This swap will be done “Yankee Trader” style. Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!"

Already to go, I think. Just sitting with my sick kitty who is enjoying lying on the "covered with another blanket just in case she throws up" electric throw cranked up to high heat.
Hope you ladies had fun!! So sorry couldn't make it.
Missed you!

Just got a call from Walda... her little stamping kit "tool box" didn't make it home with her.
APB... ~6x9", smaller than a shoebox, see-through plastic, with a blue handle on the top. Contains snail, sticky, scissors, etc.
Please let me know if it accidentally took a trip home with you. Stow-aways! Geez!

Heidi, THANKS for a great stamping day. I'm home....I didn't go shopping.
Great! You made it home safe.
Gayla... look at you posting on the go while shopping.

I've never attended a shoebox swap and this is in my neck of the woods so I'm thinking about coming. Just wondering how y'all do the shoebox swap... I've read the instructions and understand participants bring a little kit of everything that will be needed for others to recreate their card/project. I'm just curious how everyone makes the card/project during the event. Do you rotate card projects so everyone is working on one at the same time or are there multiple stations set up? Do you have to talk about your card/project?
I'll probably have more questions later, but I wanted to throw out my current questions while they were still burning.
Thanks and it sounds like it may be a fun event. Is it SU! only all the way or can you use other quality products like Gina K papers?
Your card was beautiful....only problem...TOO MANY CHOICES...they were all pretty and we couldn't make them all. It was great to meet you.
To whoever made the coffee cake with the streusel topping, that was marvelous. Nancy your bread was good too. Katie, there's nothing better than fruit salad with all fruit, no additives and especially when it has mango. Christie thanks for the sandwiches...I took one for the long road trip home.
Great day. Thanks for all the wonderful cards and other creative items. Food was fantastic and I definitely ate more then I should have! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Heidi for all her hard work and organizational skills.
Thanks, Heidi! Fun day with lots of nice cards and yummy food!
Arrived home to find out DH slipped on the ice while getting out of his truck at work this morning and fell on his back. He thinks he may have bruised his ribs. He didn't want me to get upset that he hadn't fed the cat or picked up the corn that he spilled on the floor because he couldn't bend down. He neglected to tell me about his fall when he called me this morning to ask what our business' new wifi password is. He didn't want to worry me while I was away stamping. He iced up and took Aleeve and is feeling slightly better but his whole body is sore. He didn't want me to take him to the hospital or urgent care.
Aw Arlene, that's sweet that he didn't want to put a cloud over your stamping time. I hope he is feeling better, although I bet he is going to be sore for a while!
