3D items are welcome, they just shouldn't take more than about 10-15 minutes to make, and that rule goes for about any of the cards. I think 3D items are so much fun I may do one as well.

Lots of shopping options!! :-) Better start saving now! I am not sure about heading too far south but definitely up for checking out Packaging Specialties, Amuse, Impress, and Paper Muse.
Abby- my parents live in Auburn but it is right off of 320th! :-) So a carpool would work perfectly.
Maybe we can meet Krystie up at Packaging Specialties? Then hit the others as we head south....then call Pushpa & Sarah to see if they are up for the Paper Muse before we meet up with them.....
Sorry to be so excited about shopping.....you don't understand how much we lack east of the mountains! :-)

Are there any food allergies or aversions we should know about for the potluck??

Good idea to note the food aversions/allergys for the potluck! I have a weird aversion which is pizza, thus the reason I opted for potluck instead of the common pizza ordering ;)

I'm planning on making my favorite app that I call a wine platter. It's just sliced baguette with assorted dipping oils, fresh fruit and cheese. It will go well with the wine I'll be serving and allow us to munch while we wait for everyone to arrive with the other items.

Last week DH and I got back from Sonoma and we bought a ton of wine so this will be the perfect reason to open some.

It is quite an agressive shopping schedule! My favs are Impress and Paper Muse. I can't wait to see what everyone picks up.

I've been spending so much lately it's scary. I picked up a saudering kit last time I was at the South Center Impress and haven't even taken it out of the box yet.

Krystie- You are so organized! Love it!

So girls, is it too much? Let me know and we can scale it back...really I could get my fix at one store if needed! :-)

Sarah- Saudering! WOW! I am impressed! Your goal is to use it before we come so you can show us what you made! :-)

I'm not so sure I am up for going all the way up to for that many stores that far apart with Saturday traffic and still have the energy for the even that evening. Can we cut it down by half maybe? If you don't want to do that I totally understand and may have to catch the next shopping outing. I also found out that I am going to start teaching a Sunday school class the next morning so can't be too wiped out kwim?

Count me in...I can't wait! A night out for Mommy! And will all new people...I'm very excited...sometimes it's nice to meet new people esp when I have a hard time meeting other stampers in my area...should be fun...can everyone let us know what you're planning to bring...please...so that we can prepare accordingly...

I'd like to bring my Cherry Pineapple Dump cake...sounds questionable...but is REALLY yummy with Cool Whip on top! Please let me know if this is okay with everyone... Can't wait to meet you all! Should be fun!

Happy Stampin! God bless!

I've added you Steph! Now we have only one spot left, just wish the date was going to be here sooner since I'm so excited!

Steph - Mumm Dump Cake. My Mom made that same thing and I haven't had it in probably about 15 years. That sounds great!

I think we'll have lots of chatter as we get closer on exactly what everyone plans to bring. So far we don't seem like a quiet bunch ;)

So you did buy the kit? I passed on the CD since I thought I would just be able to figure it out myself, now I'm nervous to use it lol! They were having a class the next day but it was already full.

Hello Sarah! I'd love to join you if you still have an opening - I live in Tacoma, and since having twins (they're now almost 9 months old) I get no stamping done unless I go to my demo's make 'n takes - so that's once a month! I am SO missing stamping! I keep telling DH that I have made an investment and I don't want it to go to waste, but time for me is little and far between. I figure with this advance of notice, I should be able to get everything ready! I skimmed so quickly that I'm not sure about all this stamping and shopping - I think I'll just show up for stamping, if that's okay with you??? Just let me know, and I'll send you a pm as well.

Thanks so much!
Melissa

p.s. Baking is also something I really miss - so if I could sign up for a dessert (or two), I'd love to - thanks!

Just thinkin', should we start a list of potluck stuff we're bringing? In case we end up with 12 desserts...not that I would be complaining, hehe! Maybe just what it's going to be: appetizer, main, sides, desserts rather than the actual dishes (not meaning to put pressure on anyone). Whatcha' think, girls? Please share input and ideas ~Hugs! can't wait to meet everyone!~

Yumm-o, Abby! I would love to make my chicken enchiladas. That should take care of a main dish. I'll make 2 huge batches! MELISSA, dessert(s) sound great to me! Oh--now my tummy is growling! ;)

I posted the link to give you an idea of the distance between stores, it would be a LOT of driving, and if there is traffic, bleh!

I absolutely love, love, love A Muse, but they're the furthest out of the way. If you cut out A Muse and Packaging Specialties, you'd save a lot of driving. Totally up to you, I get to go there all the time! :P hehe

Krystie- thanks for reminding me! ;)
I know...I HAVE to make it to A Muse...I have never been! :-) I think I will go there solo and then meet anyone who is interested at Impress. What time should we meet up at Impress? Then off to Paper Muse. Might rule out our carpool plans, Abby. Is that okay? Again, I apologize for being so excited about the shopping but we really don't have much here! :-(

AJ- I can't believe you live SO close to my parents! Looks like we might be having many more stamping dates in the near future! :-)

I am so excited to meet everyone and do two of my favorite things....EAT & STAMP! What could be better??!! Can I bring a salad and fruit?

If you all keep it up, no one will notice that my food sucks! (I DO NOT enjoy cooking.) Enchiladas sound great and ANY dessert sounds great too. Since it sounds like we're doing a Mexican thing, I could make fresh salsa and/or Mexican rice. BTW, what day is this shopping extravaganza taking place?

OK girls, we're all filled up!

Since it looks like Mexican is our theme I think I will serve Corona instead of featuring the wine. But I'll still have wine for those who want it.

I know this sounds lame but would someone want to bring soda? My DH & I dont drink it so I never know what to buy when we have a party, I usually just assign it to someone and invite them to take anything left over home.

We always have juices, bottled water, milk, tea, and coffee for the non alcohol drinkers, we just don't care for soda.

Fresh Salsa would be wonderful!

I think they are planning on shopping the same day as the stamping night. I think I will pass unless they go to Paper Muse which I would drive down and meet them. I just have to make sure I'm back in time to let you all in!

I will bring 2 liters of soda then instead of dip. Sound good? How many you think 3?

Also so sorry Krystie but I am going to have to opt out on the shopping I have too much preparation I need to do for the next day. So sorry! Maybe that means you guys can hit all the stores you were hoping for?

I can bring a salad or veggies and a dip. Something healthy, I know, but it sounds like you all have desserts covered.

If this night will be anything like my stampin' up parties that I've had in the past - it's all talk, all stamping, and very little food eating - so I guess I'm interested in a little salty and little sweet! Not a big sit down kind of dinner, kwim?

I'm Greek Orthodox and Orthodox Easter is very late this year - I'll be giving up chocolate!!! for lent during this time, soooooo I'm thinking applescotch crisp & vanilla ice cream, or spinach dip???

So looking forward to stamping with you all ladies!

Default Ack!

Because I'm a diabetic : ( , I'll bring something moderately healthy for the potluck. Also, I'm planning a 3D project, in case anyone is keeping track of what everyone is planning for the swap.

Then you absolutely MUST go!!!! I love that store, I get giddy every time I'm about to walk in!

I'll go with you to whatever stores you choose if you want company. I'm always up for some stamp shopping!

Regarding food, just let me know what to bring that can be purchased at the store. This stamper doesn't cook!

Regarding food, just let me know what to bring that can be purchased at the store. This stamper doesn't cook!
I want to go to A Muse....must resist temptation!

Krsytie~ you don't cook???? How do you all eat??
I would shrivel up and die before I would eat what my husband likes to call food.

I'm going to have to bail on the shopping but would love to see all your finds! I've spent more on new crafting goodies in the last month than I care to even admit. Also once you all see how out of control my craft room is you'll understand why I shouldn't add anything else into the mix, at least for the moment.

I'm also going to create a list of what everyone is planning to bring for both Swap and Dinner. You don't have to state what you're bringing for swap. I understand planning this at the last moment which is what I usually do. Many of the posts list a general idea of something or a few options so I'll be looking for your final decision before I add it to the list...fair?

No need to resist...you can just go and browse..

Regarding how we eat...it's tough!! Husband doesn't cook a thing. I hate cooking and I'm terrible at it. To make matters worse, we're really picky eaters. We don't eat beef or pork, and only chicken in very small amounts. The few things I make are homemade chicken & rice soup, various types of fish, and pasta. We have those dinners a LOT. We don't eat any fast food except for burritos from Baja Fresh and Pizza, but we do have those two things pretty often.

We bought Elsa a little play kitchen for Christmas. Watching her play, I realized that she had no idea what the oven was for. I will literally go a month without turning the oven on. It only sees cupcakes and biscuits!

You can tell as much or as little as you want, it's just another thing to make a list of

See I usually decide what I'm swapping or demoing the night before I have to have it done. I mean who knows what kind of cool stuff I'll create between now and then. I don't want to limit myself...LOL. Yep thats how I justify my procrastination.

AJ- I think you should GIVE in to the temptation!! Always here to enable! :-)

Krystie- Perhaps we can go to the grocery store on the way south....I won't be cooking since I will be FAR from my home. You are always invited to join me in the fantastic town of Kennewick for some good food as I LOVE to cook!

Sarah- I don't like to limit myself either! ;-)

I am SO excited to see/meet EVERYONE very soon!!! :-) We are going to have a blast!! :-)
