Challenge Title: Masculine March Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP66 Date: March 8, 2023
Hello and welcome to the March Challenge!
I recently needed a retirement card for a gentleman and, I have to admit, I don't do well in designing masculine cards. This is always a challenge for me. I have some new dies from The Greetery, that I hadn't played with yet. I decided to cut them out of neutral colors to coordinate with wood designer patterned paper.
To match the wood theme, I die cut wooden planks, another die from The Greetery, out of three colors and then randomly placed the colors for the background.
I used my MISTI to stamp the white words on the black cardstock. My VersaMark pad is pretty dry, so it's nice to have the ability to keep inking the stamp and lining it up perfectly, every time. This allowed me to emboss the white with no problem.
For this month's challenge, please create a masculine card using the same neutral color scheme that I did. Brown, Black and White. I never thought Brown and Black went together, but this card seems to work! How will you put them together?

Lovely card! I will have to think on this one as I do not place those colors together. I guess I go with brown and Kraft a lot for masculine cards, with a touch of red if using a car theme or green for fish. Thanks for the stretching my brain challenge.
I just saw your birthday is April 3, MISTI Monday. Are you my sister? Her birthday is also April 3. We April birthday gals need to stick together. I am a week after you celebrating a birthday. I am thinking on this challenge.
What a gorgeous masculine card! I love how you used the floral die cuts in black, brown, and white to match the background colors and to give a masculine feel to this card.
Here's my card for March challenge to use neutral colors of black and browns. I used my Misti a lot with this card because I used a 2-step stamp. Love my Misti.
