I am really new to challenges but I would love to join in and really push myself to scrap more then I do now. So my goal for January is going to be just 2 pages. It is really hard for me to get going, but I know that once I do I will be able to really get my pages done. I am also going to use nothing but stash for these pages as well.
Good morning scrappy sistahs 0n this first Monday of 2010. For those of us who had a few set backs already know that I am praying for all.
I see a lot of us have hit the ground running. So many awesome pages in the SBC gallery already. Great job to all.
Patti the baby pics had me smiling. Love all the blue inspired pages.
I have 4 pages done by participating in the New Years Day challenges.
My family is participating in my dd's school's Russian exchange program.
Yesterday we picked up my dd's Russian exchange student Masha she will be here for 3 weeks. She is very funny, cute, seems sweet. I will be making a keepsake mini for her to take back with her. They have plans for lots of sightseeing so my dd is armed with the camera to document everything.:-D

Wow, Tam, a Russian exchange student -- that's awesome! What a wonderful experience for everyone involved. Sounds like you'll have some great photos to scrap! That mini album will be a keepsake she will cherish forever. She's a lucky girl to have landed your family!!!!
Good morning, ladies. Here's a digi page I did last night. The girls in the digi challenge forum were tossing around ideas and someone mentioned masks. So I decided to use a clipping mask for my photo. I like how it turned out!
I would like to rejoin for this year with a goal of 6 pages a month. I would also like to put in a matching/spending goal. I know that I will buy supplies since I am a stress shopper but I will commit to a one-to-one spend/save goal (so for every $1 spent, another $1 goes into savings).
I've already got a good start on my pages for the month - click here to see my first 3 pages:
I would love to join. I need some motivation. I am sooooo far behind on my dds book. We have new additions to our family that I would love making books for also. When I signed up 08, i started out real strong and then fizzled out. Hopefully i can get some momentum going, and keep it up. I also plan on signing up for Stamp out Fat. I lost 65lbs in 08 and have gained 10 back. I hoping to lose that 10 plus an additional 30lbs. I just started a biggest loser challenge with friends with a cash prize. Pray for me!!
so my goals are
10 pages per month for a total of 120 pages
40lbs for the year. (Any way they come)
I'm going to attempt to use my stash first and match any money that I do spend.

Hey Girls,
A cold and super-rainy Monday here on Canada's west coast. The kids are back to school today after the Christmas break and our DS3 started Kindergarten today! Was a big milestone, 9 months in the making (that's how long it took the school board to agree to let him come to school: autism).
Have to say I'm feeling a lot of things today. Happy for him, happy for us. I think I'm mostly feeling like the dam that held all this 'emotion' and frustration and confusion at bay for the last year or so is threatening to burst forth since I now have this DS3-free time on my hands. Here's hoping it's just a quick cry to release the tension! lol In celebration of this milestone, I figured a gift was in order: Adobe Photoshop and a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet. ooooh ahhhhh
I installed everything last night and am hoping to play around a little today: wish me luck!?!? I have enjoyed digi scrapping in the past and was using the CM software. Now that I'm on a MacBook I can't use the CM so am going to go Adobe and hope the learning curve isn't too rough! lol
May we all find a scrappy moment in our week, life certainly provides lots of subject matter!!!

You should reward yourself for being such a good mommy! We're fortunate that our regular ed school has an autistic program within it but I know it can be a bear to get all the papers in order. We were fortunate that DD was diagnosed with her issues before three so we were able to 'walk' into the system (she's not autistic but possibly within the spectrum...our last diagnostic pursuit was with the geneticist back in '98...then we went into just dealing with her developmental). We moved into this neighborhood based on the school. I always hear the horrible back and forth stories for others that get diagnosed with special needs after four...what a headache to say the least! I wish you and DS3 blessings on settling into a new routine!

That's super! Once you learn it, you'll love it! I've never used anything but PSE7 and I think it's great! If you run into a bump, post and maybe one of us can help you.

Hi Marilyn,
My BFF was just telling me about iBooks and said the one she saw in real was fabulous!! I think I may try it for the next 'weekend away' type event I have for scrapping... Christmas is way too big a project (tooooo many pics) to pay per page. KWIM!? :-) Will keep you posted!

Hi Valerie!
I have PSE 7.0... I know there's now an 8.0, but the sales guy said little ole me won't notice the difference... the Bamboo tablet was way more important to me than the updates! :-) Am really crossing fingers to try a page tonight!!! :-)

I also have a child with autism. Our son is now 9. He is a blessing. He has come so far in his development since we started him in school (I homeschooled him for Kindergarten! Yikes that was something to experience).
I will be thinkin' of ya' girl. I do hope your kiddo enjoys school
Here is my first page of 2010. It took me all afternoon, not so much the scrapping as the organizing the book and putting all the pages in order...maybe I was just stalling on getting started. Cake and pasta are food groups.

me either. I get there and get started and it never fails, I never have what I want to use with me. I don't usually plan a page - it just happens.
