Whew! Think I'm caught up on the thread and most of the gallery- lots of great mojo this month!
We're safe in my little hometown of Junction City, KS. We're pretty much moved in- still have to organize my scrap area but it's close. Just so much to do in a new place. Just waiting on my KS license to go through to hopefully start working on the 9th.
Scrap soon!
PS- thanks to everyone for the blog/challenge links LOTS of good stuff going around this month.
I'm glad you arrived safely, Lynley. You must be so excited about all the changes in your life--especially starting work. Hope you still find a little time to scrap and visit us!
Really! I think if DGS had to give up summer vacation and start this soon, he'd probably run away from home! Our schools start on Aug 30 (the week before Labor Day). I remember when I attended school, we always started on the day after Labor Day...boy do the times change!
My DGD starts school this coming Monday, but they get out in mid May. They have longer spring and winter breaks than we used to have and a little shorter summer vacation. Plus, here in the Phoenix area, there are no snow days to worry about!

Hi Girls,
Hope you're having a great and scrappy summer! I've been working on getting back to my 'page a day' routine and am slowly accomplishing more pages after a fairly long hiatus. The beauty of scrapbooking is that the paper and embellies just patiently wait til we can come back to them! :-)
I've been playing recently with the Smooch sprays and Glimmer Mist. I own one little bottle of each and was very nervous about trying... but then I reminded myself "it's just paper" and am now being a bit more daring in my experimenting.
PLUS... I WON!!! Donna Salazar (love her stuff!) is releasing a new line of Smooch and I won the entire colour set!!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?! Can't wait for them to arrive and start playing! YouTube - Playing with Donna Salazar
Here's my question: Who Smooches or Glimmers...and what do you do with it?

Hey, Kristin -- so nice to hear from you!! Congrats on winning ALL the colors -- that's really cool!
I've never used either product, so I can't provide any gems of wisdom!

Hi Wendy,
I've been checking out the gallery and YouTube for Smooch "how to" and am getting curious to play a little. Looks like a little glimmer goes a loooong way so I'm sure I'll be able to experiment tons with little fear of running out of Smoochiliciousness!
:-)

Good Afternoon Everyone....
Thanks to a full day off with no commitments other than meeting my goal... I was able to put together a couple of pages of pics of the new house and a couple of pages for DS#1 and girlfriend of their vacation here with us this past week. We had a lot of fun... and now the month has ended!
I met my goal and I am anxious to see what August has in store.
This still leaves me one shy for my July goal, but I'm not complaining. This is a fall layout I did using photos from our trip to New York State in 2006:
i really hate to see july come to an end because i have been so productive. and i know that with school right around the corner my august numbers are going to dwindle :(
Sarah, I had to laugh when I read this because my thoughts are so opposite. For me, I'll be breathing a sigh of relief when my boys go back to school because I will have Monday through Friday from 8 - 2 pm free for whatever I want to do, including scrapping! I did manage to complete my goal this month (plus 1), in spite of family visits, weddings, Vacation Bible School, and just all-around chaos, so I guess it's all good.
Deb, I see you are on a weight loss journey, too!!
I am, but find it very difficult right now. We have been, and are still going to be, away a lot. Just got home in the middle of the night from almost a week in Toronto with DH. Went to 4 Toronto Blue Jays (MY guys ) and Niagara Falls, toured the city. Had a great time (and ate great food)
A friend and I fly to Arizona the end of August for a week to attend a retreat -- with classes from Heidi Swapp, Jessica Sprague, rumors of Tim Holtz, and 5 others. Again probably hard to keep on a program.
Then SLC in October for a retreat with Oh My Crafts.
Then Italy in November. And I know that will be GREAT food. and :( So difficult -- so hope to just even maintain.

Kristin - I glimmer mist. I have about 20 different colors. I glimmer paper, CS, chipboard, almost anything. With glimmer mist, you just have to be careful to never shake the bottle -- always just rotate it in your hands until it is mixed. If you shake it, the little flakes of mist will clog up the tube. I really love using it.
