Wow - lots of people going off for crops this month! Have a great and productive time! I usually get a lot of visiting in at crops, but not many pages, so I've stopped going. I find packing up and getting there so much work! I'm more productive in my own little crafty corner world here at home. Good luck everyone! There are some great goals up - and even one page toward the goal is a success! I'm getting a lot done right now, but the way my mojo works - it could dry up tomorrow! LOL
I know what you mean! Two weeks ago it was hard to keep me out of my craft room and I loved the stuff I was creating. I barely went in for a week and now, I just don't know what to do with myself while I'm in there. It's crazy!

Okay, so Friday afternoon when I had a moment, I thought I would check to see if any VSBN challenges were up. And there was! I was so excited. So I started working on a layout. It happened to be from the mini one in Feb. oh well! At least I did something! Feeding Ducks

It doesn't matter which one you did it for, you were inspired to do a page!
it is a pretty one too. The colors and photos are perfect together.
Okay, I think I can be declared certifiable now. I just got back from the PetSmart near our house. They're closing the store and it was the first day of their closing sale at 50% off. Got there at 9:15 am, just a few minutes after the store was supposed to open and the parking lot was packed. No carts left. I picked up a bunch of dog toys and mostly smaller items, but they got cumbersome, so I grabbed a box top to hold everything. I stood in line for--get this--two hours and twenty minutes!!! That's right. Saved $100, though, so I guess it was worth it. My pooches will thank me, I'm sure!
I had some nice conversations while in line (pet owners are generally nice people!) I found out that they had opened the doors before 8 since so many people were there, so that's why the lines were already so long when I got there. I should've taken some photos--it was CRAZY in there. The lines were like the ones at Disneyland--you know, the kind that wind around and make you think the line is shorter than it is...I'm pooped!

Crazy! I hope our PetSmart doesn't close! I actually thought you were going to say you came home with another pet, lol!

Wendy, I am crazy, too! I stood that long in line a last year when our local scrapbook store closed! Mostly all I was buying was 12x12 paper at 80% off. Good deal. I probably didn't save $100.00, but that is the way to get scrapbook supplies! It was fun standing in line. I told people about SCS. One girl had her ipad or phone or somethingl And I even showed her where it was and how to get around on the site. LOL When I got in line it wrapped around the inside of the store twice! They just weren't ready for that many people! It had been announced in the paper that day!
Anyway, we all like to save money!

You all seem so inspired...I'm hoping tomorrow afternoon or Saturday I can get to scrap some. DGS is off school tomorrow for Good Friday so we've got a bunch of errands to do. When we get home, I'll be scrapping (or trying to anyway!) On Saturday, DH and DGS are going to ZooAmerica with the cubscouts to satisfy a requirement so some more "me" time...I hope anyway.

Terry - skip any errands or jobs and PLAY!!!!!

LOL! Easy for me to say... but that's what I'm going to do. I'm off work tomorrow, got recent picts printed and you better believe I'm planning to spend time at my Scrap/Stamp Desk! I have a couple more VSBN Challenges to finish ...
Wishing all of you some scrappy moments this weekend too!

Wish I could do some ditching but we have a breakfast date with my ex-MIL and ex-SIL so that DGS can spend some time with them before we go for hair cuts. Then we have to go prebowl since DGS is going to the zoo and will miss his games on Saturday. Then we go to ToysRus to hunt for Star War Items to put into his 3rd grade class basket which is being raffled off at the annual Fun Festival to raise funds for the PTO. If we have time, we'll probably have a lunch date with DH and then a stop at the milk store before heading home and some scrappy time! Boy...I got tired just typing all that
I did spend a lot of time this evening while DGS watched TV looking through my hard drive at pictures I haven't filed yet and found some that will work for some of the challenges. I'm hoping to knock a few more out before the deadlines. My eyes are droopy from all the computer viewing so I'm off to bed...good night!
Crazy! I hope our PetSmart doesn't close! I actually thought you were going to say you came home with another pet, lol!
No, been there, done that! One of our two current dogs we got from PetSmart; the other we got from a border collie rescue. Two at one time is enough for me!! :p
Woo HOOOO! I just figured out how to print multiple pages onto larger photo paper with iPhoto and my Epson printer. Now I can set my pics to custom sizes for scrapbook pages (I think) and print them at home. It is one of the things about digi that I like, that I can have the photo easily any size I want. That's how my personal creative process works - trying to fit a standard 4x6 cropped to a photo box size doesn't always work and it makes me a little crazy.
Off to fiddle about and see if I can make it work like I think I can.

hi everyone! I am back from our trip. I took my oldest daughter to visit East Carolina Univ and we decided to take a detour to the beach on the way back. It was so nice! I want to go back!!
Now I need to catch up. My goal for april will be 15 pages. I have a weekend scrapping getaway at the end of the month so that's proabably when they'll get done. BTW, if anyone lives near Chattanooga, TN and is interested in it, there are still a few spots left. It is a very laid back weekend. PM for info.
After many interruptions today, I finally was able to complete the download so here is my page for the first VSBN challenge from last Friday...Add One More.
DGS took 2nd place in the "Bear" division and 2nd runner up in the pack overall so he's going to be advancing to the next level with his car on April 14. More pictures to take and hopefully another page to be added beside this one.
This page makes 4 for this month thanks to VSBN and that at least makes my goal for April so anymore that I get done will help me catch up for the year and maybe get ahead for once
I found this picture and thought it would fit perfectly for the VSBN challenge of "Leaping to Conclusions".
Temporary slow down with everyone coming home from the zoo but I just finished another page before having to leave to do some errands with DH.
I started out doing one challenge, then thought it would fit better for the last challenge but then went back to the first one! Therefore the rather odd beginning word in the title (or at least I thought so )
I finished up a couple pages yesterday and now I'm off to finish another VSBN Challenge layout. I finally selected some picts I want to use for Bekah's sketch challenge.

Thanks Lela...I was looking forward to VSBN to make the time to scrap...just thought I wouldn't have so many distractions as I've had this past week. Guess that's what happens as children get older and into more activities.
Here is another one that was for Sharon's challenge at the very end of VSBN "Leap for Joy"
I had this page done last night but couldn't find anything for the letter O so I went into the techniques section on SCS and then thought of the "Out of Bounds" technique! Forgot about that one and it fit perfectly for this page but I had to find the magazine with the instructions so I redid that one picture this morning...looks much better now!
I finished another VSBN challenge while waiting for the ham to bake. This one is for the "Leap in Time" challenge. It's amazing to see how fast children grow...my DGS is going to cause lots of broken hearts when he gets older I'm afraid.

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! It sure turned out nice here. Friday night I went to Praise Service w/ a gal I met here on SCS! Funny, we live about 15 minutes from each other. It was good, lots of music. Yesterday I got 6 scrap pages done and some cards, it was great. Today we went to church and then to visit my oldest son at college and took him out to dinner. It was beautiful 65 Sunny day!
A little craftin' time and lots of fun, my favorite kind of weekend!

OMG! It has been such a long time since I have been here. Sad to say it's been just as long since I have done anything craft related :( I am excited that I finally have a new craft space and am ready to get back to scrapping! I am going to set my goal for 8 pages this month. Hopefully I'll do more but we'll see.

I got 8 pages done today! After such a long dry spell.....I finally scrapped. Once I started I didn't want to stop....but alas, I had to stop and fix supper. Family has to eat you know! *giggle*
I'm so excited! Almost through with my nieces Birth to 1 year album. Then to put finishing touches on another Yearly album, so I can start fresh at my crop the last week of this month.
