WOOHOO! Our 5th month of 2009 Scrappin' Goal Challenge! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in January, February, March & April and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together this month!
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages last month! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
With that in mind, I thought I would invite all of you to May Scrapbook Challenge! Oh what fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends.
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for April. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for March if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Money spent on Adhesive and Printing Pictures is not included in the monthly scrapping budget. We'll count pages 7x7 & up = 1 page for 1 page completed, 6x6 & smaller = 2 pages for 1 page completed.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2009 Scrapbook Challenge! Woohoo for May Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want extra $$ for the holidays. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. I decided it would be easier to split from the page goal posts. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

*** The Results are in and Let's Give a BIG SCRAPPY CHEER for All of the Elite Eight Scrap Sisters - Anavon, Valerie, Charlsanne, Terry, Michele, Crystal, Bekah & Tam - They were Scrappin' AWESOME!! ***
Our FINAL FOUR Scrap Sisters moving on to the next round:
* Anavon * Tam * Bekah * Valerie
Our Final Four Challenge will begin today, Tuesday, May 5 and run through Tuesday, May 19. All Challenge entries will need to be uploaded on Tuesday, May 19. Our past challenges have been about number of pages, following challenges and themes and working with your partners. The Final Four Challenge is an opportunity for you to pick the theme and challenge and showcase your Scrappin' Style. Each Final Four Member will pick a season of time (four month consecutive time frame, i.e. Jan through April, May through August, November through February), select a color combination that can be "carried through" all of them and complete a Double Page Spread for each month (so you'll end up with 8 pages). You do not have to list the month on your page but we do have to be able to tell the pictures "go with" that month. 2 of the pages can be a "single" photo layout but all the rest of the pages must have more than 2 photos on the page. All pages must be uploaded on Tuesday, 05/19 only (please not early or late). Please use code: "SBC09May". Digi or Traditional are accepted.
There will be an outside Panel of Judges who will select the "Scrappin' Madness Winner" based on how well the challenge was followed. The winner will be announced on Friday, May 22.
Looking forward to the creativity and scrappin' wonderfulness you all come up with!

Ok Scrap Sisters! We're 4 months into 2009 scrappin' and it's time to get our Scrap Tables/Desks/Bins/Spaces refreshed for Summer time Scrappin'! Since scrap moments seem to be shorter in the summer, I thought it would be a good time to PLAY "SHARE the SCRAPS" again! We did this last year and had a GREAT Time! Here's how it works:
All of us have fun scraps left from scrap pages that since we just scrapped a page with it, we won't use again. We also have all bought those packs of paper that we like some of the paper but not all of the paper in and so those are sitting around. The challenge is to take those scraps or papers, pack an envelope add a small amount of postage and send them to me (it's like a swap). At the end of the month, everyone who sent in an envelope will get an envelope back with all "new" scraps to play with. Last year, many gals used their diecut machines (sizzix, bigshot, cuttlebug, cricut, nesties) and their punches and cut or embossed cardstock scraps. All other "designer paper" can just be sent in "scrap" form if you want. Diecuts or punches can be any size but please don't send scraps smaller than 2x2 if it's just a scrap. Everyone will get a mix of diecuts and scraps back depending on what is received. Many gals took the 12x12 sheets they weren't going to use and cut it into 4x4 or
4x6 squares. We also got lots of scraps of cute prints.
It's time for our SCRAP SWAP! If you'd like to play, fill any size envelope with scraps (no boxes please). Whatever size envelope you send is the size you'll get in return. Add your scraps, PM me for my address. For return postage you can either drop some postage stamps in with the scraps & I'll use to return or a couple dollars to cover the postage. If you send $$, whatever I don't use will be included in your return envie. You have until June 8 to get me your envelope. I will swap and return all envelopes the week of June 8. In June, we'll have some challenges to show off what we used our "new" scraps on!
Come and Play!

I'm going to go back to 8 for May as we have ds2 bday, a play for ds1 (with a week of cramming rehearsal and then 3 performances that one of us have to help or be at), and end of the school year for ds1 (his last day is 5/29). I may get more, but I'm not going to beat myself up.

I've already made my goal for the year soooo I think I will go back down to 4 for this month just to give myself a break so I can do some outside things. I broke my stash rule for March Madness and bought a stamp set and a 12x12 piece of DP that I needed for 2 layouts so I spent about $12 so far this year but I still want to use just stash.
Hello everyone!
I have to give myself a very modest goal of 4 this month...with the weather changing, I have to devote a bit of time to getting my gardens in order. I also want to catch up on the 6 pages I'm down YTD, so I'm actually hoping to do 10.
I think I was unclear with stating my goals previously, so here's my update for the year.
Feb 8/8, March 8/16, April 12/10, May 0/4....YTD 28/38.
Budget....I'm REALLY, REALLY, REALLY going to try to use scraps only!
Welcome to May everyone!
Hey...can someone let me know please...there is a weight loss goal setting thing somewhere here on Splitcoast. How do I access it?
Thanks!
I'd like to check out this also. I didn't reach the weight loss goal I set for myself by my Bday. I actually put back on a few lbs.:(?

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
Wohoo! May is here. How awesome is that? So glad that we are all still scrapping together, taking on challenges, and having fun.
I set a goal of 7 for April and I made it to 9. So, I was pretty excited about that. If I only do 6 pages a month for the rest of the year I will meet my goal. I'd love to do more than that but, if it happens, it happens.
So I will set my goal at 6 pages for May and hope to exceed it. I will be using my stash and my monthly kit subscriptions. ;)
I just did some addition and can not believe how many pages I have made in the last three months. I joined this challenge thread in February and since then I have made 95 pages!!! My goal each month has been 20. I am so very glad I came upon this thread. It gave me the push I needed to get some of my many many pictures scrapped. This challenge and all the other GREAT weekly challenges gave me a whole new outlook on scrapping. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and tired many different things. I still tend to stick to my clean and simple style but evey now and then I try something I have learned on here. And the best part is I feel like I have made many new friends!
Feb: 22/20 March: 44/20 April 29/20 YTD=95

Put me down for 15 pages this month. I'm hoping with the Memorial Day weekend I can get some pages done. I'm also going to the Great Lakes Mega Meet next weekend - not sure how much I'll get done, but I know I'll be spending some $$'s. TFTC
Ugh, I'm glad April is over. I only got 3 pages done last month and it was just dragging on me. I'm going to set a goal of 15 again. I have a couple of scrapping events planned, so it should be easy this month! Well at least easier than last month!
I think I'll set a goal of 10 this time............my flower beds are calling my name . Thanks to the wonderful hostesses for all the GREAT inspiration. Although I made several pages in January. I didn't discover this WONDERFUL thread until Febuary at which time I set my first goal of 10 and passed it by 23 pages..........yea me!!! I have made more progress since finding this thread and all you sweet ladies. So here's my stats. Feb. 33/10, Mar. 27/30, Apr. 19/15 YTD 79 but if I count Jan my YTD is 124. I hope everyone has an awesome productive month

Wow May already This weekend I will celebrate my 6 year wedding anniversary- that is a long time in today's society! So I am glad that VSBN got changed lol
So far this year I have completed 163 pages - not sure how many I completed last year, but I don't think anywhere near this!
I completed 33 pages for April. My goal for May is 16- that is always my goal (16 is my favorite number lol)
National Scrapbooking Day Weekend Inspirational Extravaganza
Good news Ladies!!! I have just been offered by the powers that be to host a VSBN in honor of National Scrapbooking Day.
It will start this evening at 5pm and you can read about the rest of the times and details HERE. Just join me in the VSBN forum at 5pm and we will rock this National Scrapbooking Day Weekend
We will have a variety of challenges- not just inspiration ones. Hope to see you there. ;)
Boy! Where did April go? I am going to go with a goal of 4 for this month. I have a lot going on and I will stick with my stash. I find things that I forgot I had all the time!
Lela, thanks for being so faithful in keeping this thread active! I exceeded my goal last month by 1 page! So this month I'll up it back to 10. With all the NSD inspirations going on, surely it will be easy to get a head start on it.

I'm going to set my goal at 5 pages this month. With all that life has thrown my way these past 2 months, I hope to get back to a little scrapping. I'm going on the Oh My Crafts Cruise next week to Alaska - maybe will do a little scrappin' there. Then I'm on a weekend retreat the week I get back. If my DH doesn't lock the doors on me, I hope to get back to playing a little.
Stash again -- but I really blew that last month when I bought my Cricut Expression and a "few" cartridges.;)

My computer is finally fixed and now I am back among the SCS living.... My Goal for May is going to be 25 because I have a lot on my plate right now with moving and everything. (for details see my venting post #1179 in the chat thread)
And from reading through this thread It looks like March Madness is still in full swing.....? So, I will upload my pages from round three and post them here since it looks like this is where everyone is hanging now.
I completed 60 pages for April...... Thanks to LMN and all the March Madness Fun! I did have to break down and buy some new supplies since my stay in S.C. has become a lot longer that expected, and I found some really cool stuff, I guess I should get out more.....!
