Welcome to October! How can it be? Where are you on your yearly Scrapping goal? I did not do well in September. Still busy and hot!

Sadly, I didn't do any scrapping in September! So, everything stays the same for me. I will set my goal for 10 again and hope this month will be a different story! You all did great! Hope you have another great month in October!
I did a lot in September, the number was boosted by the Simple Stories book I made for my mother and a few other pages. I also made a few sets of cards for gifts. I am just happy to have craft time and I have been working away at using my stuff. I have been posting unused items on the PIF (pay it forward) thread here too.
I will set my goal for 10 for October, I am not sure how much I will get done this month.

Oh, my, have I been away!
I just read the news about the Splitcoast team. Sad times, for sure.
I have been posting since Apr 2008, had to go to my gallery and pull up the first upload. Times. Have. Changed. Am I right? Over the years with Splitcoaststampes I have learned and grown so much.
I have nothing for September. I'm not even making a goal for Oct. Just not sure I will take the time to scrap. I have, and will, make cards some. I do have a book in the making for my great grandson. He is 7 now and having some issues to handle. My little book for him will be about his Guardian Angel. And may I ask all of you, my friends, to pray to your Guardian Angel also, your ever-present helper sent to you from Heaven. I know the love our Lord Jesus has for each one of us, but have often forgotten about my angel's duties of taking care of my every step.
I promise to visit more often this month, I want to see what everyone is accomplishing!

Oh my, it seems every year I start off with good intentions then start lagging as the months pass. I have been doing more card making than scrapping and mini cards at that. Most of the mini cards I send to Michigan to be used in a florist/embroidery/boutique store.
the A2 size cards I make are for my local quilt guild sunshine committee.
I only did one or two pages for the month of September but I do have 15 kits made for a crop I’m going to the 18th of October.
I even quit counting how many layouts I have done this year…a fair number of pages and mostly current with my DGS senior year album. Finishing the last of the graduation pictures at this crop.
I have not kept up with what is happening at Splitcoast but now that Joyce mentioned it I kind of remember reading. It’s sad when favorite forums make big changes, even small changes throw me for a loop nowadays.
I am having a last minute get together with most of my craft group tomorrow. So now I have to get my house cleaned and decide what I want to work on. My mother needs a few cards so those will be first.

It's a rainy day here in Florida and a great day to get caught up with stuff! lol!
I have been crafting but have lost motivation when it comes to photographing and posting anything. I have also discovered that hassling myself about that tends to weaken my creative mojo.
I found some photos of my boys when they were little and it's been a blessing to work on those pages and contemplate how they've changed over the years. I also got some wedding pages done (son 1) and engagement pages done (son 2). Their loves are enjoying seeing them, too Most of the pages will go into albums I'm making for them but, for now I get to look at them and just enjoy the moment.

Well Well Well...over half of the month has disappeared and I am just now checking in for October. Good Grief! I have been working on Christmas Cards for the military. The Mom I send them to every year I met through Unity Stamps Show and Tell FB page and she sends thousands of them to many different branches for all the major holidays. I am trying to get 100 done to send to her soon and I'm only about 60% finished. So with that more pressing I am going to lower my monthly goal at a time I should be raising it if I have a prayer of making my year end goal....
Happy October! sheesh... I keep wanting to paper scrapbook but I haven't had time yet. I also haven't checked your creations for a few months.
I have started the calendars I do every year for our parents Christmas gifts. My MIL passed away this summer and she was always so excited about certain kinds of photos (gingerbread houses, playing in the snow...) and it's way more emotional making this calendar for just my FIL now. He turned 99 last week so here's hoping he even makes it to Christmas. I've gotten five pages done for him so far and they are SUPER simple. I do them digitally, but it's just background DP and matted photos, lol. But it's playing with photos and preserving memories and that's my favorite so it's good. ha.

Tanya, so sorry for the lose of your MIL. It's always hard working on something a loved one got so much enjoyment from but I'm sure she's smiling down on you & your project.

Today was perfect scrapping weather but we had family weekend at my son’s school. It was great seeing him, but now I’m home relaxing. It was pouring all day!

I have a bin full too! We got home yesterday & I'm trying to put things away then my DH has an appointment. Hopefully tomorrow I can get to craft!
Good to see you all chattering. Just a heads up that Falliday Fest began today. The link is last line in my signature. A few challenges and a tutorial every other day for two weeks. Low key and fun. Check it out.
I did a few pages yesterday and today. I am working on my book for the trip to Disneyland winter 2021. We had planned the trip to coincide with a Vegas wedding march 2020. We all know how that story ended. We re-booked a few times and ended up picking early December 2021. We didn’t expect to lose my Dad so suddenly October of that year. Most of the family agreed that I should take my mother away for a bit and not cancel. We made the best of it, it was a very small break from our grief. Grief and loss never ends.

Start small! Maybe just make a card or stamp an image! I spent time sorting images yesterday, it helped when I wasn't motivated to work on a layout.

I made a mini album for my sis for her birthday. Got it in the mail yesterday. I took photos but since it was junk journal size, not sure I will put in my gallery. The photos are of us almost 70 years ago!
That sounds like a great gift Sharon! One goal I have for Christmas is to put pictures in the two gift albums that I made for my mother through the years. i just need to get it done. I will re-give them to her for Christmas with the Disneyland book.

I’m back from MOVING MANIA! Oh my, I knew I had a big stash for scrapping and card making but then we moved to a smaller house and yikes. It took a couple weeks to pack our house and a couple to unpack in between work trips… Tonight I finally have the Scrap/Office (what I would call) done. I’m sure I’ll eventually move some things around but ready to scrap and stamp. I did get a few pages 1/2 done at a Crop last weekend. I had such random stuff I didn’t finish any of them,
Hopefully I’ll have time to play along now more regularly.

Lela, glad your move is mostly done. I find I’m always moving stuff in my space. I often just set up a folding table to work. My goal is to stop doing that. Or if I do I need to pack it away shortly after I’m done. I’m still trying to get everything put away now. I’m in the middle of my Disneyland trip book and making a baby book for my niece. So my area is extra messy.

Sharon, I'd love the see your mini album. A friend showed me hers & it was very cool. She had printed 2X2 photos & hand journaled.
Lela, glad your move went well & your getting settled in. We've lived here since 1980 & I can't imagine moving!!
Yesterday, I took kits from my stash to craft day & got 8 pages partially completed. I still need to do a little tweaking but should have them done by the end of the month to make my goal. I have so many kits that I've bought or taken classes for at CKC through the years. When ever I try to match the photos to them they never work. I've decided to work the other way around & pick out a kit then print photos for the occasion. I'll be working out of sequence which I like to do but at least I'll be using my stash up!
Rainy day here & it would be a perfect day to craft but we're having a family soup social so it'll be busy until tonight. Have a great day everyone!

My craft room has so much in it and I rarely throw anything away, so it stays a mess! If I would just throw away scraps!!! I am bad thinking I might use that. Although I have rarely bought anything in the last few years, I have enough paper and embellishments to last two lifetimes! That doesn’t even count stamps and cardstock for card making. A now, I save junk, for junk journaling! Eek!
I hope everyone has a crafty Sunday. Maybe between church services today, I will make something for Falliday Fest.
