Sometimes, before removing the die cut from the rest of the paper, I'll gently run a glue stick over the intricate parts. Then, I'll separate the die cut and toss the scrap....

Chalk inks work well on stamps that just don't seem to like regular ink pads. I also keep an old mouse pad handy when stamping with acrylics.
