Welcome to the All Occasion Card Challenge! For those that are new to our challenge, this is a personal challenge to encourage us to get those cards made and mailed!!
What is an all occasion? Well, just that- pretty much any card that you need to create and mail- for ex. birthdays, anniversaries, get well, sympathy, thinking of you, special holidays (Valentines, Easter, 4th of July, etc.) .
This challenge allows you to list the cards that you need (again, to keep yourself accountable) and we hope by doing so, it will help you mail the cards!
2). As you create and post to your gallery throughout the month, add AOCC23 to your keywords and if you are able, copy the URL for your card post to SCS and post to this forum so we can give you some comment "love" .
If you are unable to keep up with posting to the gallery, that is fine as well (I still have over 100 cards created that I have not posted yet). This year, let's just note if we made our goal- so again, we can encourage one another.
Thanks it!! Simple but an accountable way to help us get those cards out in the mail. Don't forget- use AOCC24 in your keywords when you post so we can all check on the gallery and leave a comment (I will need everyone's assistance in helping to comment )
I hope you will join us for 2024 and spread the word about our challenge so we can continue to encourage one another to bless others with love through our small pieces of art!
Don't anyone gasp...I am involved in a personal challenge for making 1000 cards from Nov. 1, 2023 - Oct. 31, 2024.
Means I need to make at least 83 cards each month. I am not bound by size or the occasion. I will use this thread to update how many of different occasions I make. Not all my cards are uploaded to SCS gallery, that's both a good thing and a bad thing!
Most of these cards are donated to 3 different places though I mail about 100 cards myself personally each year.
I really need to motivate myself to work on the valentines for the grandkids (7) and 5 little neighbor kids. Our niece rented the little hobby farm up the road and her 2 kids are (well mom too) are having a rough year. Nephew did something super STUPID, so we try to include the kids in as much happy stuff possible. And there is a single fatherbof 3, 3 miles away. The mom moved out one day. I know her, I thought somewhat well, i never saw this new her coming. So I make sure to be a good female presence for them, especially the little girl.
so I do 12 kids cards for each occasion, with a gift card style inside.
1 birthday card (family)
3 birthday cards (friends)
3 Baker's Dozen swap cards
2 Thinking of you cards
2 Teapot Party cards
My weekly goal for 2024 is at least 3 challenge cards, fully uploaded to SCS, blog and media.
I made it the second week, but not last week (and of course not the first week....settling into 2024...and the whole month of January is a gift so I'm easing into goals and the work needed!!)

I passed this along to a group that sends a lot of cards. Here is a thread you should post this to so more people will see this: Card Requests Forum at Splitcoaststampers
I just found this thread and see several familiar people!
Here's what I made for February:
35 - Valentine's Day cards (friends/family)
20 - Valentine's Day cards (work - our office calls 20 seniors a day to make sure they are OK)
5 - Valentine's Day cards (co-workers)
1 - Anniversary card
4 - Birthday cards
March is going to a busy month with St. Patrick's Day and Easter so close together.
Love reading what everyone else is doing/making 😊

Wow, Ladies, you are all doing a great job! I have been mailing cards from my stash for my needs so far this year, but I did design a birthday card for my nephew who loves nature as well as Scripture. TCC204 Be Still and Know by Julie Gearinger

I'm just returning to SCS after more than 2 years off to get my health back in order. In the past 2 years, I've made and sent 2 cards to my husband's elderly aunt (she passed last month) who loved hand made cards. But I'm ready to get going again and am getting a new craft room in a new state ready to go. I don't have an exact count, but I've vowed to stay on track with my husband's siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews...well, you get the picture. There are a lot! So, for April, I need at least:
4 birthdays
1 anniversary
and with the upward age and health issues of this group (my DH is 74 and he's #4 of 8 kids)
1 Sympathy card should be kept on hand and
3 Thinking of you/Get well should be ready to go.
My stash has run pretty low, so my first priority as soon as my desk is cleared is to Get to Work!
Glad to be back at SCS,
Tracy
I went to a craft retreat last week. I got 39 birthday cards made for work and 18 thank you and thinking of you cards.
Angie I'm going to a craft retreat in April...trying to decide what to take along to make for cards! The craft weekend in November I always make birthday cards...think I'll focus on sympathy and scripture cards.

I've discovered over the years that I get more accomplished if I plan well and don't take more than I need for the projects I take. When I go to a retreat in November I always make my and my mom's Christmas cards.
I need ..
1 a very special birthday card for my only auntie. She's going to be 82. My Uncle passed away 2 years ago.
I need 12 mothers day cards for DH aunties, his mom and his grama. HUGE family there.
5 other family birthdays
1 of the neighbors kids.
3 anniversary
12 for SCS birthdays.
I worked on 762 cards, for the VFW. Kinda like shoe box set up.
All the bases, layers stamped and die cut images, dsp pieces. Into boxes. 11 different cards. I made 1 sample of each so the ladies should be able to put them together easily.
