Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Shoe Girl / Lisa
This week's Tea Party was requested by Jacqueline (jacqueline). Jacqueline's friend Nancy could use some warm fuzzies and encouraging words. She is a bit down and feeling overwhelmed.
Her sister passed away last September unexpectedly. Then in November, she lost her beloved dog, Diesel, a black and white, 18-year-old shih tzu.
Nancy is currently caring for her almost 96-year-old mother, Eleanor, who resides in WV but is now staying with Nancy in NC. We had a tea party for Eleanor back in 2018 to celebrate her 90th birthday (MMTPT510). Nancy and Eleanor travel back to West Virginia occasionally to take care of Eleanor's house, doctor appointments, expenses, etc.
Nancy also works full time as a chaplain for a local life care / hospice facility. For the past few years, any personal and vacation time she gets is used looking after Eleanor. Nancy likes dogs and music, and she is a no-frills kind of person. She also may like the colors purple and blue. Religious and faith-based messages are welcome.
CHALLENGE: In honor of Nancy, let's create a No Frills (Clean and Simple) style card.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Hello, Thinking of You, Hugs, Praying for You
SEND CARDS TO:
Nancy Cooper

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to Jennifrann via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
Nancy is our teapot recipient this week. As someone who took care of aging parents and in-laws, I know the toll it can take on a person….it is a privilege and honor to do what Nancy is doing. Here’s mine:
Nancy is beyond grateful and she was surprised by all the cards and kind words received so far. She asked that I send her message of gratitude. Nancy said, "I keep cards and reread when I need uplifting. These are definitely going to be a big part of my collection. People are kind and I can feel their caring spirits of encouragement.."
Thank you all for helping lift her spirits...she's been sending me texts showing off the cards she's received.
