Oh I had a little trouble with this but I think I *invented* a new technique called *messy chic*! LOL I know I was using the wrong ink because it took forever (like almost never) to dry therefor creating the messy look!
Finally finished my Crayon Resist card. I really like this technique and except for stamping the Fr Script upsidedown on my first attempt and having to start over, I think MY STIPPLE ROSE turned out pretty.

I was wondering when the challenge card is due. In other words is the technique card due on Monday or do you get the info on monday to work on it and post later?
This was a fun technique, I've never done it before, but after a few tries I got it. Crayon resist delight by kflorenski at Splitcoaststampers

I cut the flowers out then used the dimensionals to pop them up a little. This stamp set works great for this challenge
My 3 grandchildren, I love being a Grandma! My profile picture is a 5 generations picture with my granddaughter. I'm the one in the pink. lol (Back Right) Too fun.

These are EXACTLY the reasons I use candles! Plus, you can get a whole box CHEAP if you're doing a workshop so you have one for every person. I have never used white crayons since I discovered using the candles!
I have used various colors of crayons and they have shown up white. So I just buy crayons in August when they are on sale. One box of 48 or 64 lasts a long, long time, and many workshops too. I haven't looked into candles, but will do that and compare prices. Thanks for the idea.

How did you do the background of the butterfly? Is it brayered with a multi colored ink pad?
Oh, I just took daubers and rubbed them in stripes along the cardstock. Start in the middle and then do the outer ones after. SUPER easy. Hope that helps!
[hi
I have never tried this technique and would like the instructions from someone on how to do it.I think the samples are very good and would like to try it.Thanks:confused: [email protected]
Thanks, Julesiana! I already did that and commented on her lovely example of crayon resist! I think some folks just rely on the email notification we get, and if the link doesn't work, they don't get to comment. I hope more people will go to the galleries like you and I did! Thanks again.
