Thanks Betty for another technique to use stuff. Loved it. Thanks heres mine:Tranquility-I did this for my brother I describe the word on the inside for him...
Here's one done by my 88 y/o mother this morning. When she saw this technique she wanted to try it with the butterfly. I thought it turned out so cute. We worked on the layout together, but she did all the other work, including cutting out. As always, thank you so much for looking. TLC159 Dazzling Butterfly by Kheila Kirwan at Splitcoaststampers
Faux Cloisonne Flowers is my card for this challenge. Thanks Betty for this challenge. I've never done this with Crystal Effects, so here's mine with CE.

Well, I couldn't resist trying this challenge. Thanks for chosing this technique, Betty! I wish the picture could show how the sunset colors really pop out behind the gold. Here's my simple card... (almost embarrassed to post it after seeing some of the others...)
Couldn't see this card so I'm trying again for Japan.

When this came up for me it went to the gallery. So I'm putting Anne's card here. Hope you don't mind Anne.

Here's mine for today... What a great technique. I had a hard time choosing what stamp to use, but came up with this one... I forgot I had it. Anyhoo, here it is.TLC159 pick a petal by tankgrl at Splitcoaststampers. TFL. Heather
While I didn't know what this technique was called, I have used it for a while now. I use it for butterflies. Emboss a butterfly on a colourful page and you get all sorts of colours in the wings.
Another source of paper is to use gift wrap - doesnt even have to be new.... save all the wrapping from your presents.
I love the cards you have been making with this and I will certainly be expanding past butterflies now.
can you tell i'm lovin' this technique!!!! Here is my second, or third.. who knows, I've been making them all day.. i'm still in my pjs - lol! i just told my ds that we are having a pajama day! ha! ANOTHER VERA BRADLEY
Now that I have been at school all day, I've had a chance to rifle through magazines and find some cool pics. I will try another card tonight if I have time. Thanks for an awesome challenge, Betty!

I think I have ruined all my images. I stamped and embossed several. Then I used a can of spray adhesive to stick them onto cardstock, thinking they would be easier to cut out if they were on thicker paper.
Well, they are now looking all wrinkled and lumpy. I'm waiting for them to dry in the hopes that they will all straighten out again.
I love haute couture and wanted to try one in faux cloissone'. It's made out of a picture of a stack of papers and I put a "belt" around her. What a fun technique! As always, thank you so much for looking. Is this your style? TLC159 by Kheila Kirwan at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks Betty for a great technique challenge. I've never tried this one before and I really like it. Came close as not to try it as I thought I had gotten rid of all magazines, old calendars, etc. Fortunately, I found a 2007 calendar that I missed. I combined this challenge with TLC159 minis.
