Lightbulb Attach a Crayon to Album?

I saw some great travel games made by skernal3 and Kathy Anthony. My daughter's 8th birthday party is coming up (oh, on Friday) and thought they would make GREAT "Thank You" gifts instead of goody bags - in years past I have "burned" my daughter's favorite music onto CDs for girls, etc.
Okay, so I have what I'm going to do - already printed off the computer - attached if anyone wants to look. I plan on cutting the white cardstock, mounting to colored cardstock and/or patterned paper. I have a lamintor, so I'll laminate the pages for re-use.

However, my delima - How can I attach a crayon to each book, without it falling off - or being too bulky? Crayons can be wiped off laminator sheets, right? Any suggestions you have is greatly appreciated!

thank you so much!

This is a really cute idea - not positive that crayon comes off... you might want to test it 1st or perhaps try the dry erase markers??? not sure - anyways, back to your question... how abt velcro? are you attaching 1 crayon or a small box? perhaps you could punch a hole and tie with ribbon? or add a pocket to the front or back and put crayon inside?? just a thought... HTH!

We did the velcro idea. When we went to Disneyworld, I got the boys each a composition book, and then put a piece of self-stick velcro on the cover, and the other piece on a pen. That way they always had their pen with them.

Love this idea btw. My ds's bday is coming up. I may have to CASE this.

Thumbs up Thank you!

Thank you so much for the ideas! You're right, I'm not sure if the crayon will come off or not. I may have to look for those wax pencils while at Staples tomorrow - and attach with ribbon. Since I was going to have it spiral bound at staples (don't have my own rubicoil), then I do have somewhere to attach a pencil/pen (that has some sort of hook - like an RSVP).

As a side note, I had to redo the all the games to fit nicely on a 6x6 page, along with room for embellishment. So, I attached the updated file here. And, cause I have multiple kids (whom I'm making books for, too), I changed the BINGO card (only) for multiple printing. The ideas are limitless. The games I decided upon where suggestions from my 10yr old and 8yr old.

I'll be sure to post pics of the final product when done.

thank you so much for all your help!

This is such a cute idea. I'm trying to think of which games, if any, would work for a 3 yo's bday party. Maybe a Bingo game w/pictures? A couple of pages with alphas to trace?

Lightbulb games for 3yr olds

Go to www.crayola.com - click on Activities. There are LOADS of pictures to print off to have the kids color. (you'll need to register, it's free).
The tracing letters would be great, too!
Good luck!

I found these GREAT WIPE-OFF Crayons while at Staples - with all the teacher supplies. Only $1.30/box of 8. They say that they are specially for laminated stuff! cool! Anyway, I still don't know how I'm going to attach it to the binding - I could make some sort of pouch, but would that look weird NOT being laminated like the other pages? I have posted my book. Thank you for all the suggestions and help! I LOVE this site!
