Default didn't like gluing chipboard boxes

Hi,
Maybe it is just me, but I did not like gluing the chipboard bottom on the boxes. Maybe it was just because the E6000 glue I bought did not have a nice pointy tip like the tutorial. Anyway, it was a mess!

I ended up punching holes all around the bottom + on the bottom of each side. I just laced it all up and tied a bow in the middle of one side. Hope this makes sense, but to me the glue was way too messy and too strong of an odor.

What if you were to try and dab the glue onto the bottom edge of the 4 pieces, rather than onto the base piece?

I used Crystal effects and it dried relatiely fast and comes with the nice pointy tip.

Must be me, but I had trouble, also, getting the edges to match up good enough. Doing the ribbon was easiest for me.
